i'm guessing it should be giving 12v right?, well its only giving me 0.06v from the wire that goes to the motor, can i take a feed from somewhere else, if i touch the wires into the passenger plug then the window will go down or up by itself depending on which wire i touch, so the motor is fine...

changed regulator and switch, still no power to window motor, could be a break, how can i trace it back and could i take a feed from somewhere else for the drivers side motor, also if it clicks when i press it does that mean that the relay works, and is there fuses or relays under the bonnet...

well it turns out i'm not getting 12volts at the motor, so maybe a break in the wire, anyone know how to check if a wire is broke, or if i can take a wire from somewhere else to feed the motor,

i know what you mean with the back box but i bought it to go on my celica gt4 a year ago before i sold it, never got round to it and now it would save me money,

so no performance gain at all? i find that kinda hard to belive, not saying it will, but thought having a free flowing back pipe and no middle box would make some difference

would i see any benifit from ditching the standard zorst and going for a stainless 2.5" cat back system, no middle box and a big japanese tailpipe, not sure of the sound but anyone tell me what this kind of setup would do for me, sound and performance, my car is a phase 1 172 unmodified, thanks guys

need a new regulator for my 172, how easy is it to do and does it have to be a new one, can i not go to a scrap yard and buy one from a scrapped car? surely the window motor is swappable between cars, help me guy's coz i need to get my window open in this hot weather

how do i check the motor connections mate? just unplug everything then plug back in, is that behind the skin on the door, i had it off before but couldnt work it out, cable hasnt snapped so ??

can anyone give me a list of what to check to eliminate the problem, also how to check each thing, its not the switch as i bought a new one and it still doesnt work, also i can hear it clicking when i press the button, any ideas?

looking at new wheels with yokahoma rubber, is there a benifit to getting the 45 over the 50? wanna keep the 15" wheel coz the car feels quicker and handles sweeter with them, but what tyre size would be best.

wheels i want are konig e racers in black with a stainless lip so not wanting my wheels refurbed.

these are the 15" wheels mate, will put some pics up if i think its worth selling them,

anyone know what kind of a price i can expect for a set in good condition with good tyres and loads of tread, condition is good with only a small amount of curbing and no nuckles or flat spots, looking for a set of black wheels so these need to go.

wow, thanks mate, just loosened the bolts on the top mount and pulled the engine forward by hand, and what do you know, all the knocking has gone, thanks for the help mate, just saved me alot of aggro from the missus for buying a car with a knocking noise, it did her head in, also would of cost...
