Cant you just replace the pump gasket if that is the problem? Surely if the pump had gone i would know about it quickly?

The steering wheel in my 172 wobbles left and right when around 30 mph and the steering is rather vague. It doesnt appear as bad when at higher speeds. I suspect a tyre is unbalanced and the tracking needs looking at however could there be anything else at fault? Cheers, Craig

After a two year absence (due to financial constraints and a Calibra!), I have decided to opt for another Clio. I would ideally like a 172 cup but will probably settle for a mk2 ph2 172. What are the main things to look out for when inspecting a car? how often should the cambelt be changed?
