Long day but worth the effort, shattered now lol.
Pleasure meeting so many nice folk and having a proper catch up with a few. Way more people Id have liked to have spent more time talking to.
Thanks to everyone who said hi today, great weather and great people.
Cheers for all the effort...
Cheers chap.
Craig and I have been swapping ideas about this for months and months now, and what with both of us having young families etc it’s taken a bit longer than expected.
Craig has been working very hard on getting all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed to get us this far. Laser cutting...
I can crack on with a Cup holder with Craig (@CFAB) now this is mostly complete.
We have a couple of bracket/net tweeks to sort before Craig can make a batch of Clubsport bars/nets.
i looked at that and reading from tests others have done, it provided too much restriction in their testing. So I was only hoping to aim a good chunk of cold air at that area. 😅
Just been out to try some “very” basic testing.

Ambient on the car dash was showing 16c and the multimeter was flickering between 15/16c so that was bang on.
Driving the car from...
Airflow is a t**t to measure at the best of times. But I think the easiest is to put a thermocouple in the air intake to the filter and measure the air temp with and without the feed. If I get a drop in ACT then it shows it’s working.
What…!!
You mean C&M aren’t as all inclusive as they spout to be? Shock horror! Lol.
Balls to that, I’d park my French box at he front door just to annoy em. 🤣
Cheers chap. @04-182 really pulled out the stops creating my idea exactly as I imagined it.
Makes for a really clean and discrete feed and leaves the foglights clear to do their job on the brake cooling.
So I’ve had an idea for a long time about using the barge board on the side of the rad shroud to make a cold air feed. So with the help of @04-182 he made my idea a reality. I’ve had this for a while but hadn’t had a chance to fit it.
I’ll drop a thermocouple into the inlet tract and see what...
Absolutely massive thank you to Alex and the team at @awmotorworks for the amazing service and turnaround on my gearbox this week.
Alex pulled out the stops to get WZD back to full health as swiftly as possible. I had a feeling the transmission wasn’t quite happy lately but wasn’t 100% sure...
