Maybe if I bulk ordered 200 sets of the part number Mintex might look into some extra discount. However that would be a waste of my cash reserves on unpopular stock. Other brands will have their own pricing structures which MIntex will not be privvy to.
Easier for me to help customers mix and...
AST I think used to have default damper settings and change the spring. I dont know whether the internals are now custom made for a spring rate. I was told thats why a set of AST is cheaper than a set of Intrax - which are all made custom to order.
Things may have changed over the last few years...
The spring rate will be dependant on geometry of the suspension. One car on a 9kg spring will be soft - another extremely hard.
With the Clio we only recommend the 9kg front spring for track cars. 7kg or less for road.
Drop me a message when you want to buy. I supply them all so can advise on spring rates depending on your usage. Its better to go for a little softer than too hard.
40nmm rear springs on coilovers for the AST road version would be roughly the same as a 450lb inner spring. Its still firm compared to the Bilstein which is a 275lb spring. Thats shows how the Bilstein is more daily driver setup than most other coilovers. The AST would be about the same as the...
Its still happening. Once the Covid situation is over I will be getting the first prototype. However its being designed as a track setup initially with the appropriate springrates.
The B14 is a coilover kit designed for the road and therefore wet weather stability is designed into the setup...
rear pads do enough to make a difference. I'm looking at whether I can use my suspension design going on my Trophy to allow more aggressive pads/bias to make them work harder still.
Thats an absolute steal. Nice to see some are still going for bargain prices.
I have rather a lot of discs and pads in stock at the moment. Renault OEM rears are cheap and have the necessary bearings/abs ring. Brembo fronts are probably best value at the moment the other end of the car...
If only things stayed the same price! Usually its 3-4% a year increase on most products as materials and wages rise.
This in spades. Sometimes you have to take a punt and try a few to get an idea of what works for you. I've used a lot and now know to stick with what I like.
The PBS are cheap...
The other change was the offset of the wheels due to the difference in hub.
I've never stuck the two hubs into cad though to analyse changes to scrub radius and kingpin angle to say whether there was an improvement.
The 182 cup pack included different hubs so you would need to source those second hand. You could however fit the 172 cup dampers which are a firmer rate for not too much. We sell them discounted here. You will need a set of springs too - best off looking at Eibach Sportline for the nearest...
Its a real tough one. Unfortunately to get the bite you may be wanting, the materials in the pads tend to have downsides when used on the road.
I think you need to try two pads.
The Mintex M1155 (when breaking them in you will think they are on fire with the smell). Bit s**t when stone cold but...
Gearbox feel is one of the cars downsides. If the bushes are decent then I'd fit the PMS. Seats can be lowered quite easily. My standard seats are probably a little too low now.
I'd buy a whole civic and swap the loom and all. This is a level of conversion not for most DIY modders. Select Motorsport (I think) and the above are the ones who have probably got the furthest so you need to make some enquiries with them and be prepared to hand over a fair wedge of cash
This is going to make my Trophy look an absolute steal if it sells at that price or more. I'd say its worth sub £3k
I cant quite work out who would buy it - most Trophy owners seem to be more enthusiast or investors. Neither would want that one.
I’d say the nanodrive is an eater based synthetic rather than a synthetic blend which is why it’s both higher priced and better for hard driven engines.
So much like the elf use the castrol for road use and light track and balance the cost vs a car which is driven harder on track and would...
I think its a case of try it as plenty of cars are mothballed for long periods. Personally I would be tempted to drop the oil and refill, getting oil into the head
Do a check on the belts
Take spark plugs out - use a small amount of thin oil to lubricate the rings (dont forget to refit)
Turn...
Brembo fronts do the job and are significantly better value for money than the OEM branded ones. However the rear Renault OEM discs have the abs ring attached which makes them simpler and more cost effective to fit. Thats the most popular set we sell.
We also can help with all the parts you...
