Yeah I know the feeling mate, can't help but spend money on these motors.
What you been eyeing up? Mk1 Focus RS again still? They've become fairly common on the roads of Portsmouth now lol, know of a few!
Yeah I was talking to Mike about spacers as he has just fitted some. And I mentioned that you had some which he fitted. Then he said you had been down there same day to have MOT lol.
Did she pass with flying colours?
So I swapped over the mechanism from my Ph2 stalk into the Ph1 stalk, and auto-cancel indicators are now working again. Sorted!
Also refitted the airbag resistors and taped up all the plugs sitting inside the hub just to ensure none touch each other. Airbag warning light has been off all...
Thanks mate, ought to be for the money I've spent!
What was yours down the for? The wheel bearing?
Yeah can't wait to get it all fitted and try out the Sachs. Shouldn't be too long now.
Yep, stealth mode haha! Well, apart from the exhausts as you say!
Notice you are from Fareham. Don't suppose you are the guy that lives along Beaufort Avenue off Arundel Drive?
On Tuesday evening, I went and picked up a decat pipe for a very reasonable price of £25. Thought I would give one a go, and if I don't like it then I can always swap the original cat back in.
A set of bullets came up for sale from Simon at Spray Shack, Anthracite with '2.0 16v' in black...
Hi guys
Recently fitted my Sabelt wheel and hub this weekend. I bought 2 resistors (3.9ohm) from Maplin and put these into the airbag plugs.
When I connected battery back up and first started car, lights went out as you would expect and stayed out.
Anyway, the last few days, the lights have...
Oh, and yes I know there is a bolt missing in the steering wheel! I need to source another set unless I can find somewhere that sells one individually. Alternatively, if anybody on here has a single bolt they would be willing to sell me, or even a set, let me know!
So I got the Sabelt wheel fitted yesterday. Popped down to my local Maplin first to pick up a couple of 3.9ohm resistors to keep the airbag warning light off, for a grand total of 78p! Wish all parts were that cheap!! Removed the old wheel, removed the Ph2 stalk, got my Ph1 stalk fitted with no...
If you unclip the pillar from the car, you will see the wire from the alarm sensor which goes through the pillar and then you can follow it back. Turns out it runs just along the inside of the headliner where it meets the top of the windscreen. So I unscrewed the sun visors, pulled the headliner...
So my new number plate LED bulb arrived earlier this week. Also got it fitted, with a before and after shot below. Much better!
Then a number of goodies turned up today...
First up, my RenaultSport Sabelt wheel, which has been retrimmed in black alcantara by Jack at Royal Steering...
Yep that was me. Think I know who you are too now lol. I seem to remember a guy already looking around at what car was coming, just as I turned left from Osborn Road S onto West Street.
Thanks for the comment, wasn't looking immaculate though as it hasn't been cleaned in a couple of weeks...
Something popped into my head earlier today... I seem to remember that V6 Clio 255s came with alcantara gaiters as standard.
So happens that there is a black V6 255 which is currently being broken on eBay. So I sent the guy a message to see if the gear gaiter is still available and how much if...
So my Sachs dampers arrived today back from BG. Really happy with them, can't wait to get them fitted! Have to say, service from BG Motorsport was absolute A1, and turnaround was super quick even considering I mentioned that I was in no immediate rush for them! Would not hesitate to recommend...
Bit of an update on this then. Not done a great deal since last update, but a few things have been ordered.
First of all, I had a call from BG Motorsport on Friday to say my Sachs dampers are all done, refurbished and powdercoated. So they should arrive at work tomorrow, very excited!
I also...
You pulled up behind me at the lights coming out of Whiteley. I had the Black Gold 182.
Silver 182 with 'K-Tec Racing' sticker across the top of the windscreen. Car looked good.
Got a picture at all? I have already been in touch with Jack about having my steering wheel done actually.
Did you have to send your gaiter off to him?
Long shot, but can anybody recommend where I can get a gear gaiter done for my 182 in Alcantara?
Already been in touch with @Austin-182 but he no longer does this anymore, as I already asked him seeing as I have a few other Alcantara parts in my car already that were done by him.
Would be...
Have to get a passenger ride soon to see how the Cooksports are!
I know a bumper off job, what a pain! Just give us a shout if you want a hand doing yours, would be happy to help! Also prepare me for when I do mine haha!
Yeah coming along well. Sachs dampers already been sent off for...
Looking good mate, how is the ride with the Cooksports?
Really weird about the washer jet, I have the exact same problem! Same side too! Noticed it a couple of weeks back but have some blanks on order to rectify.
Went and collected a parcel on Saturday from my local post office. It contained some alcantara interior parts and some smoothed bullets, many thanks to @cazzy for the parts from her Monaco that is sadly being broken. The alcantara parts were done by @Austin-182 really nice job! Sadly he no...
Nope lol! Few more parts to order pretty soon as well!
Lol I think it's more a case of I don't do anything else lol so most of my money goes on my car for now!
Yeah probably better to PM me your number mate and then I'll drop a text if ever I'm about or fancy a spin.
Yeah sorry, the way I worded it makes it sound like I was waiting to get gearbox oil in order to fit it. It is purely the fact of wanting to replace gearbox oil anyway, so thought I might as well do it at the same time.
Another present arrived today! Almost too nice to have them fitted to the car!
So a few more bits turned up today.
Firstly, two pairs of Silver Vision bulbs which should tidy the front and rear up nicely.
Next up was my Phase 1 Shift and Gear Knob which also arrived. Already fitted with Yanoo Adjustable Stiff Shift, and his brass bushes and stiffer ball insert. Well...
