It's definitely not tramlining. I know 205s do tramline more than 195s anyway, but it's not this, this is actual handling problems. Appreciate all the help though guys.
I'm almost certain after having driven it a bit more the last couple of days that one of the dampers has sh*t itself. Handling...
Thanks for the kind comments!
I am now selling the Ph1 Shifter which I mentioned in my last post. This is because I stumbled upon another Ph1 Shifter which already has the gear knob in black (which I wanted to do) and also has the Yanoo stiff shift kit fitted which I also wanted to do. Just...
Used to be 195/45/16 Uniroyal RainSport tyres. Rears weren't in great condition, but fronts had a fair amount of tread. Pretty sure there was fairly even wear, but they weren't on the car long seeing as they came with some Turini wheels which I put on only a month ago, so couldn't really say as...
Flebay - answered my own question? I know new tyres can take time to bed in, but I'm pretty sure it is nothing to do with this, it wouldn't have this effect.
Symon - no I didn't, wouldn't go near a Kwik Fit. Went to my local ProTyre, I know the guys down there.
Cheers
Noticed today when I was changing lanes on the motorway a couple of times that something didn't seem quite right.
Steering seems to be all over the place at speed. Difficult to describe, but if you were to go from 'left to right to left to right' with the steering wheel fairly briskly at say...
Hi guys
I shall be fitting my ITG Maxogen this weekend to my Clio 182.
I just want to be prepared. It will be a fairly easy swap I know, but my only question is regarding something called an acoustic valve? I've seen a lot of people refer to it when fitting panel filter/induction kits etc...
So the fact they wouldn't be there, meaning they couldn't be tested in an MOT, would be fine? Just wasn't sure if washers were required to actually be fitted with xenons, but if not the case then I'll get some blanks.
Cheers
Hi guys
Just noticed of recent that one of my washers on my 182 with xenons has started leaking washer fluid.
I could replace it, but wouldn't mind fitting a set of colour coded washer blanks instead to tidy up the front end, prefer the cleaner look.
However, my one worry is what would happen...
Yep that was me. Black 182 with recaros and Turinis. Thanks for the kind comment!
Yes, live in Fareham. Take that journey every day.
I'll be going to the meet up the hill next week, might see you there if you're going.
In all honesty I hadn't realised that the PMS mounts were £130. Assumed they were about £200 or so.
In which case I will definitely order the PMS mounts instead, now just to decide whether to get the whole package including their strut brace or not...
No no, not a short shift. Not a fan of short shifts as it can cause premature damage if you rush the syncros.
The stiff shift which Yanoo can supply. Link: http://www.dp-automotive.hu/dpa_developments.html
Hi guys
I have a 2005 Clio 182, and have just purchased a Ph1 172 shift assembly (for the gear knob).
I plan on getting this fitted soon, but would like to order a Yanoo Stiff Shift first to fit at the same time.
Which version do I want? Bearing in mind I'll be fitting the Ph1 172 assembly...
Hi guys
Bought a Ph1 172 shift assembly on the weekend, mainly because I want the gear knob (see below) to fit my 182.
I would like to get it powdercoated black/anthracite to match my interior, instead of the standard silver/grey.
Is it possible to just remove the gear knob? If so, how? Just...
Update time. As already mentioned, had BTB exhaust fitted last weekend so it's been on a week. However, noticed a blow on the join between cat and centre box today, so that will be something I rectify this weekend. Just ordered a brand new genuine centre box clamp, so once that has arrived I can...
Only reason I am using Royal, is because I have seen a wheel in a specific spec which was done by Royal, and I want the same. I appreciate Snappy could probably make the wheel how I want it no problem, but seeing as Royal have done it before and know the exact spec and materials etc, I will have...
Have to admit, I was at K-Tec last weekend, and I asked them if they could show me a couple of their 182 wheels, purely as I wanted to see the finish etc.
I have to say I was impressed! The finish is very good, it was an alcantara one I looked at as that is what I want doing to mine eventually...
Hi guys
Going to be doing a suspension refresh on my car soon, with OE cup dampers. I was going to order genuine top mount kit for both sides too, and cheapest I can find online for genuine mounts is about £75 for a pair.
But I have been considering solid top mounts. I know the most popular...
So I had this lot turn up during the week, ready to be fitted with my BTB cat-back exhaust system this weekend...
Do not have any pics of the system on the car yet, but will get some later. It is an awesome piece of kit, very happy with it.
Ordered an inlet manifold gasket from local Renault...
Thanks mate. Not the biggest fan of spacers so doubt I will put any on, but have seen a couple with spacers and it does look good aesthetically!
Had mine fitted this weekend, spot on. Sounds perfect, and I don't like loud exhausts. Sounds just right and isn't overly loud. Also my cat is still...
Flame 172 with silver Turinis parked up along Francis Avenue in Fratton not long before The Rutland Arms pub. Was driving past and only saw it last minute but looked quite tidy.
I would like to lower it a tad yes. Long term I'd like to source a pair of Trophy Sachs dampers and pair them with Mark Fish springs. But considering they go for around £500 in a condition where they need a refurb (when they come up that is), and then needing a refurb, I'd be looking around...
