I am gutted too.
Selling due to trying to buy a house in the near future. Going to go without a car for a while (don't live far from work at all), and do some hardcore saving. Will hopefully be back in another soon enough, but I know I won't find anything as good, plus it's nice knowing I got...
Not a massive amount to update on.
Bought a pair of new Magnetti branded BMW 1 series boot struts for the tailgate, no longer falls on my head!
Bought a boot mat to tidy up the rear, and also a genuine Renault 'Elf oil top up kit' (1L of Elf SXR 5w40) which attaches via some velcro on the...
Guys,
I want to try and get to the bottom of a steering problem I am having.
Some of you may know my car (Black Gold 182 Trophy Spec) as I have a build thread on here fully documenting all work undertaken on my car.
Anyway, within the last 2 months, all of the following work has been...
Thanks mate :)
Thanks for the kind words :)
Yeah glad I stayed with Turini's, so happy with the colour. Look so much better in person, so many comments on them.
Alignment I had done at Nad UK who is in Littlehampton. Bit far to travel but he fitted all my suspension and knows what he is...
Time for bit of an update.
First up, booked the car in with Rentech on Friday, to have the following done:
Fit new genuine power steering pump
New power steering fluid
Coolant change
Fit new genuine expansion tank bottle
Oil and filter change with Motul 300V oil, and also fit a Gold magnetic...
Yeah was put on on Friday. As I say, with a microfibre cloth and some elbow grease it does eventually come off. Just going to be a fair amount of work. Just wondered if there was something that would make it easier, but perhaps not.
Hi guys,
Had a set of wheels refurbished last week, and had them sealed with Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour. Quite expensive stuff, designed to last for at least a year.
Problem is, when they fitted them, they didn't leave enough time for the sealant to cure before putting them on the car. Hence...
I always remember the Fifth Gear review of a Westfield by Plato, and how bendy the steering wheel was. Shocked it was even allowed to be sold like it...
That is actually a Momo Team by the way mate.
One the back, yours will say 'Typ D 30'. The 'D30' you mention is not the style/model of wheel, that relates to the diameter, i.e. 300mm. If you get the 280mm Momo Team, it would say 'Typ D 28' on the back.
So that is actually a 300mm Momo Team. I...
Sorry about this mate, must have been misplaced when it was taken off the car. Wouldn't know where it is.
I would guess it is a fairly standard size allen key bolt though? Thinking you could take the one you do have (assuming both aren't missing) and get another one from a fastenings store...
Thanks mate. Somebody has already bought the flocked dash strips (a guy who saw my car at Origine RS on the weekend).
Think I am going to keep the door cards and rear seats though! The door cards I do prefer in suede, but Recaro's came factory fitted with the cloth cards and basic rear bench...
After watching Chris Harris' latest video on the EB110 SS, it got me searching for more info on the EB110, always found it an interesting car.
Anyway, stumbled across what is known as a 'Dauer EB110 SS' of which there are believed to have been only 5 made. I will leave you to read this...
Thanks for the generous comments guys.
Only small update.
First up, few pictures of my car at the recent Origine RS show at Goodwood.
I bought a new gear gaiter to have trimmed in the alcantara material I have. Had to buy a new gaiter, as the two clips on the base of my old one...
I have a full set here mate, including a set of lockers with the locking nut.
If a locker is needed instead, am happy to send out my full set of 4 with the locking tool, just call it a fiver including post!
Car is looking good mate. If you still need a wheel bolt, then I have a spare original one you can have? Free of charge, just cover the postage of £1.50 or so.
So after waiting ages for it to turn up, my flocked steering cowling turned up. To be fair, due to the massive delay in getting this to me, they sent me out a free pair of flocked dash strips so I am quite happy with that. No pictures of either of these yet, will try and get some!
On Sunday, I...
Happened to stumble across this page (below) when I was browsing Google Images for BMW 2002 Turbo's.
Just thought I would share, as there is a massive collection of cool pictures I think. And it seems endless, haven't browsed through them all myself yet, but have 'right clicked and saved as' a...
Thanks mate.
Didn't know you had bought an R32! Just seen your project thread now, and posted a comment up on there. Glad you got one of these, I love them and wanted one myself!
I can't wait to hear the Orb once it is on either. Quite glad that I have the quieter version, as they did a...
Time for a little update then, not a great deal has been done!
Firstly, after some inspiration from a thread by 'MarcR' on here, I decided to buy some protective tape and film for my Sachs shocks.
So, bought some of this 3M clear film to protect the stickers. Seems very OCD but doesn't do any...
Good to meet you too mate.
How funny considering we were talking about how few Arctic's there are on the road! Yours is very tidy for the mileage!
That sucks about the incident with the stick. It's soon to be winter, so probably won't need AC anyway! Plenty of time to sort it!
I believe they are, just that Cup ones are Silver, Trophy ones are Anthracite which is how the wheels came from factory.
Also worth giving Renault Wolverhampton a call using the above part numbers, quoting ClioSport for discount. I doubt you will find cheaper than them for these.
