That's handy to know, it's a set of the speed lines (or two) that i want to source for the car aswell.
i didn't realise they were wider aswell.
selling.... Boo Hisss ;)
Cheers Bobby.
you don't regret the move as get then I assume?
its the handling characteristics I'm concerned about, if the springs were likely to upset it compared to the factory springs, but good to hear you rate them (for what they are worth in comparison to top line coilovers atleast) as I'll...
Bobby, it's looking good :)
Have you got any more pictures of the car, I'm curious how it looks with those spacers and springs.
Also, how do you find the ride with the H&R springs?
I've just bought a black R27, I want the AST's for it but been given an 8 week lead time so I'm tempted to pop...
if you really wanted, ive got some 5mm spacers which are specific for the clio at home, they are H&R items and as you can imagine fit perfectly.
you can have them for £20 plus the postage.
Why strange Tony?
id always said to myself that towards the end of the year I'd move on to a 197 and make a new track car from it.
It's just moving on to new challenges and projects, no different to how I've done in the past with other cars.
i get bored and like the idea of something new :)
well, its all over for the little Trophy.
after having a new engine fitted, delete PAS and a few other bits, ive finally thrown in the towel, and taken the spanners to it over the wekeend.
shes no longer to be, breaking her down slowly over the coming week or two and selling it all off.
roll...
check the oil dipstick, if its on minimum id just go and buy 1 litre.
if its between min and max, again just buy one litre, just add a little at a time and check the dipstick as you, allowing a moment or two for the oil to reach the sump tho.
your issue is no big saga, just purely needs a...
i believe geometry settings are an individual taste once you start dialing yourself in to the car, what suits one person wont suit another.
my toe settings are set to factory, ive tried a little toe out and just find it suits me more comfortably being as per factory.
my camber settings currently...
A bit random, but can you turn off the passenger airbag in a 197 the same as you can with a 1*2?
i don't mean via clip, but with the key the same as a 1*2 has a switch on the passenger door panel.
cheers :)
Re: Is it Ok I'll remove this metal piece after battery relocation from front to trun
ive not seen that before, i ddint have one on mine when i relocated the battery.
The majority of cars are set so the light comes on when you have a gallon of fuel left, so it depends on how you are driving to what the range will say you then have available.
Only ever run out once, in my works Vivaro van and half a mile away in the distance was the petrol station, luckily...
If your thinking of trackdays, I'd be looking at the new set of wheels you buy being 15" for that purpose and then refurbing your current 16's to look like new as the daily wheels.
If you are considering selling them, fire some details over to me when you get chance.
ie: colour tinted?
do they have vents, if so which windows and which style vent?
which windows are included.
does it have the black edging strip, or atleast a paint on kit for DIY use?
does it have a fitting...
Personally, I can not see the point in changing from the 1.5mm pitch thread down to a 1.25 pitch thread.
of the two, I'd much rather go with the PMS kit.
for the record, I run another brand stud made by a local company to myself, had a set on the misses 182 for aprox 2 years before we sold it...
You can't really call it a track day, as it will be pretty busy and varying ranges of cars and competences.
for a first visit, just take your time and do laps exactly as what you are, a learner.
enjoy the few days you are there, have a good few German beers, grab yourself a steak on a stone and...
Liam, I'm heading over in October with a big group of friends, you would be more than welcome to tag along if you wanted to come and experience it ;)
Daniel, awesome write up pal :)
We just replaced ours with a cheaply from Asda of all places, I think it was £9.99.
for the limited use our PC has, the keyboard seems to do the job perfectly well enough for our tasks.
