2.5 turns in a Mk1 was once only reserved for the rich boys going racing & having the rack custom made, praise the lord for the guy that figured out you could do it with a Mk2 dci rack instead :ROFLMAO:
It's not an issue for MOT unless parts of it are broken, lots of people have upgraded their Clio's by removing the power steering so it's not something to be bothered about.
I took the manual steering bits from a car that was probably identical to yours, fitted them to the car in my profile pic...
Bit of a minefield this 1 is, depends what phase car yours is and what ecu you've got because the wiring differs slightly between them.
As a rule of thumb, the IR sensor itself isn't paired up to the key (it's the bits after the sensor that are apparently coded together) so you should be able...
Yeah deffo not what I was expecting from the thread title :ROFLMAO: I love the colour
Here's the kind of thing I was expecting to see, this was my mates Valver & I ended up stripping it for parts
Gasket or a Williams?
Deffo selling my Williams once I've eventually finished rebuilding it, not sure if I've got any rocker gaskets left though, I did get a load of genuine ones from a random guy at the Nurburgring a few years ago but used some and sold some
Exactly the same part on both engines, just be wary of getting an R19 F7P gasket, it's not an issue but the R19 one has a bit in the cambelt end that needs to be cut off if you're fitting it to a Clio F7 because it fouls the support bracket for the pulley cover
Yeah just a standard 182 manifold but going onto a 172 and I've got the ktec link pipe to go with it so wanted to stick with the oem spring/gasket fitting kit
But buying another one (if you mean a manifold) just repeats the problem as they're all in similar untrustworthy state :ROFLMAO:
Although if you mean the flange itself, yes a new one would be nice but do you know what type of flange it's called & where you can buy 1 from?
Sort of but it's...
The cost of just the paint & materials used to paint a Mk1 Clio in it's original normal colour costs close to that these days, nevermind a metallic pearl that's also a colour change
Not wanting to sound like an arsehole but that does sound a bit like b****cks to me, ok it's not quite a reasonable comparison as I've been running an F7 fitment clutch but I've ran a Volvo 480 turbo clutch (cheap as f**k too) for years with a Gripper'd box & the only time it's really failed me...
On
Only took the head off to see if I had destroyed the shiny expensive forged high comp bottom end or not, luckily it was just a destroyed cylinder head, subframe mounted engine so was really quick & easy to whip the head off :giggle:
