@Coops Turbo 100% agree. To a point i still regret it to this day, wish i had kept it super clean an bought a rougher one to track.
I still keep it clean an it doesn't want for anything. Was just too much fun on track
christ this needs an up-date! what started off as resto project quickly became a track project! Its now full stripped, AST's, weld in cage etc
really should up date with current pictures
I nipped over to the garage an measured an it's touch an go whether a 1.9" spring will fit. So from that I assume the standard size spring used on them is 2" or 50.8mm?
He sells the kit on here, there is a thread for it in the group buy section. alternatively pm him to discuss...........I would highly recommend the kit, it is a fantastic improvement to the clio's handling
in essence its simple to set up. hardest parts are compressing the rubber part of the plastic bush that goes into the gearbox and removing the old rusty bolts on the heatsheild
i done mine in just over an hour lying on my back on my drive, an wasn't rushing
cold test will usually give lower figures but they do seem a tad low. That being said they are all pretty much the same, and the car is running great so what is the issue?
Also is it running the standard pistons, HG etc?
The standard shafts they supply are for non cup items. To order Cup shafts you need there specific part numbers (especially if you spek to one of the girls as they just go by what the computer tells them)
The black series bushes are a PITA. longer bolts and swearing, also helps if you trim the bushes down a little as they are slightly too large. Im sure @Tomotek has pictures of it in his project thread
i have removed all airbag wiring, heater wiring and stereo related wiring from 2 PH1 cars in the past month. On both occasions the wiring going to the handbrake warning light not being connected threw up the stop light on the dash. Are PH2's different i assume then?
I found in the dry on R888's it was pretty good with a tendency for the rear to be rather lively, i think a slightly softer spring on the rear will provide a more balanced set up. In the wet with the 110's on the rear even with the dampers on full soft it was too stiff in my opinion
I went from GAZ to AST on my track car an the difference was night an Day!
I would highly recommend AST as a product but it's a bit hit an miss on the customer service and delivery time front. Due to that I considered switching (coilovers needed a service) to the similar AVO shocks but after...
Those with weld in seat rails, have you managed to get the seat centred with the steering wheel?
Pictures of people rails and side mounts would be helpful
Looking for a bit of information on the rear suspension turret part of the cage. The vertical angled part that sits over the strut too that the rear stays connect too......
Anyone know the diameter of the tube or have a cage they could measure?
I have a cage to install for someone (he has lost...
I assume with the number of racers and people run full cages someone will have had the same issue i face now.
i have finished installing an oreca race cage that has front strut supports. This has caused me to have to find a new location for the main wiring loom plug that normally resides behind...
