I'm not 100% sure but I read the weight was to help reduce vibration. I just removed mine.
Finally, removing the AC stuff from the scuttle is a nightmare. I really struggled with mine and in the end had to smash it out!
Thanks.
I can't actually answer your question as I've not run the Cup alternator setup with HPAS, but I do believe the pipes can be bent around the new set up. I'm sure there are a load of people running it that way.
The blower I changed, firstly, because I broke the original unit attempting...
All sprints unfortunately, the calendar for my Championship is as follows, I hope to take part in the red events :
Sunday 25th March - Rockingham
Sunday 8th April - Abingdon
Sunday15th April - North Weald
Sunday 22nd April - Hethel
Sunday 6th May - Debden
Saturday 9th June - Abingdon...
I've also updated a few small updates to the Clio.
I've copied @Dr Jekyll and made a homemade intake as I couldn't get my phase 1 airbag to box in the gap, however this new setup sounds much better and also looks better in the engine bay:

After much worry about making the Clio compliant to regulations, which isn't as hard as I expected, I took part in my first sprint event at the weekend, which coincided with the Essex breakfast meet.
I'll be honest prior to the event I was...
Snetterton - 27th March 2018
A few of us (about 30 of us) went to Snetterton for an evening track day, the evening only cost £40ish so was a good chance to make sure the car was all good prior to my upcoming sprint events.
A great night although was very slippy, I spun on my first "hot" lap...
I did the very same as Rich and compared mine to one purchased from DT and I couldn’t find anything different, although I did share the same views prior to this.
Car looks lovely.
I avoid Spring Action day for this very reason. The fact that Castle Combe is the ONLY UK track Greenlight Insurance refund to offer track cover at is no surprise!
That's me!
I had my wet wheels on, I couldn't believe how slippery it was, I spun on my second lap as I forgot my ABS isn't working!
After that and after some tyre pressure adjustments I was going OK.
