What are your plans with the Clio?
I don't think I could sell my Clio now, I've spent so long getting it to the current position, however if I get a Caterham I think the Clio could come redundant.
We'll see.
Thanks for the well wishes.
Good Point! Currently I don't think I could get into a Caterham and it hadn't even crossed my mind! A friend has one, I'll pop around to see how far off I am!
Brands Hatch & Donnington Park Track Prep
With my hip starting to feel comfortable once again I booked up a few track days in the coming months.
First is Brand Hatch on Monday 4th November 2019 while the second is Donnington Park on Saturday 30th November 2019. I've not yet driven Brands in...
Indeed you change the everything including a lower FD.
I agree about how intrusive TC is, especially on track. I don't need to run TC however I wanted to ensure the TC kicking in wasn't linked to a fault sensor or something to be concerned about.
Good Afternoon All,
After having my gearbox rebuilt by @NorthloopCup which included him fitting a Gripper diff (both are highly recommended) I've noticed I'm now unable to run Traction Control (TC) while on track, basically the TC engages on fast bends and then I'm on limited throttle for the...
MOT PASSED
The car went in for its MOT this week. I didn't expect the Clio to have covered many miles but I was shocked that it had only covered 627 miles in the 12 months, 250 of those are from when I went to Snetterton the other week!
I've also order another Corbeau Pro Series in...
I've seen a fix where a carb spring is fitted around the stick to the reverse tower.
My rattle stops completely if I lightly touch the gear knob towards 1st.
Never driven a 197 however I have a 2018 595 145bhp Abarth and absolutely love it for a daily hack.
Wouldn't want to do long journeys in it, but for my 20 mile round commute its amazing, makes silly noises and goes well enough to have fun.
Having been a passenger in a 197 it seemed boring in...
I'm not sure any track day was a good idea! But if I'm honest I took it easy and it was just nice to drive the Clio! Fingers crossed I'll be able to smash out the trackdays/sprints next year.
If I can be of any help just ask. You'll find it easy I'm sure, however yours will be slightly...
Has the Clio been replace @GrahamV182 or is it going to be?
Thanks, once again, for all your help regarding regulations/tyres/etc I genuinely believe I wouldn't be taking part if it was for people like you who helped me in the early days.
Snetterton Evening - 29th July 2019
So after being given the green light to start driving at the beginning of July I risked booking up an evening track session at Snetterton. To be honest when I booked the event I didn't hold much hope to making it at all yet alone in the Clio. Even weekend I...
I had a quick look online and it appears they only do silver unless I'm miss reading it, which I could be...
vailable in both a natural alloy finish and a black powder coated finish.

Makes sense @JamesBryan
I'll see if I can change them over, I didn't realise until now that they did two different types, the only issues is that they'll be silver, but I can always re-paint!
Thanks.
Morning Chaps,
Could do with a little help.
I've recently purchased a new Corbeau Pro Series XL to replace my Club Sport (standard size). As some of you may know the sidemounts are different as the Pro Series runs M10 bolts while the Club Sports run M8. Before we start I run the seats mounted...
I've recently installed AST4100's on my Clio 182 used for the very same purpose. Prior to that I was running GAZ GHA's.
If you catch a supplier with a discount you can get 4100's within budget.
Hi Mate,
No idea yet! I broke my hip around 8 weeks ago so not touch the car since receiving the battery.
I like you, will isolate it when not in use so I believe the 09 will be sufficient. Saves the extra weight also.
