That answered my question as to what the inner material is - that's the thing, people say about them scratching, messing up the paint etc, but if you use a cheap 'universal' 20 quid cover off eBay or put it on a filthy and/or soaking wet car, what do you expect!!
I'm thinking about swapping them back round at some point yes, the Turini's have recently been washed and properly cleaned (fronts AND backs of course lol), so they are literally sitting in the garage with a cover over them, ready and waiting!
Thanks, fingers crossed!!
Thanks Mark, got my...
Thanks very much matey, that's very kind!
I thought that exact same thing too with the colours, as rather than get the huuuuge folder out, I just cheated and looked at the MOT history online - and it was green, green, green lol!
Life has been hectic lately and the Clio has taken a back seat so to speak - so I was looking forward to giving it a run up to this year's CSF on Saturday - which I now can't get to as something has come up. D'oh! But due to this and with a free day yesterday, I thought I'd get the car out...
That's a great achievement having it 10 years and it also looks a great example too, but at the end of the day when you have a car you love and enjoy driving, why sell it? You know the car, all the work that's been done etc, it's the same old thing of new car = back to the start lol, you can...
Yeah just use those to make them extra secure - I too thought the Velcro was good when I bought them but its very poor! The Renault Sport ones have zero velvro, yet they have never moved once, weird, not sure if it's because they fit so snug?
Those mats DO look great for the money, but I found when I bought a new set, the drivers one kept moving forward and getting stuck between my foot and the accelerator pedal due to the grip on the back being so crap, so just be watchful of that - good quality otherwise. But I sold them for the...
Had a little photo shoot with my mate with his black IS200 Sport today so thought i'd share a few photos - the purple wheels pictured on page one he had lasted about 5 minutes, they have since been re-powder coated gloss black and do look much better!
Mine has continued to settle into daily...
Ahh mate that's f'ing typical, all the months I've had my ticket and just when YOU buy one, I can't make it anymore as somethings come up at home *facepalm*
Looks a fantastic base for a project this, nice mods and changes so far - the car looks so much better for the stripes being taken off!
Fair play to the lady having it for 12 years too!!
Don't forget running costs with an M3! It may be cheap to buy now, but is still a £40k+ car to run - my Dad had an E46 M3, 6-speed manual in black, which we loved to bits, still the fastest car I've personally ever driven, but the inspection 2 service at BMW cost him £900, 4 tyres cost £1000 at...
Thanks Jon! Yeah the grey one I didn't have long, for all the ones I had that were superb, that ONE wasn't so good...… it's when the prices were at the start of the rise, so 3 grand or just under on hindsight now should have said it all lol so got shot instead of getting too deep with it!
The RS Turbo looks an absolute beauty, 90-spec in red, the best! Had two myself...….. and a mercury grey 90-spec..... oh and a H reg Fiesta RS Turbo.... oh and a Series 1. Etc! I think it's safe to say i'm a 'Ford boy' just a crying shame the people these cars were aimed at are now totally...
What a great looking car, love the red colour and wheel colour combo - I briefly looked at one of these as a daily a while back but to get a good one was too rich for my pocket so gave it a miss - but that looks great with some nice little additions too! :D
I was thinking the same thing!
You'll have to get all these photos (or the best ones at least!) printed off and put in an album Mark to add to the car's history folder, will be a fantastic document to look back on!
Hugely disappointing Clio turnout, infact the only 3 Clios that were there all live within a 4 mile radius of Yarmouth!!
But there you go, weather WAS a bit iffy all day so that would have played a part i'm sure
Sounds like a brilliant day!! I really like those new Hyundai's! Isn't there two, the N and N Performance? The latter obviously being the one to have if so!
