Yeah that's totally understandable but at the same time you could get some miles done and see how its all running (would be great to see you and the car there!) See how you get on!
It's strange, wasn't a big fan of those Megane's but the colour of that with the black wheels looks great plus the new lows have transformed it!
Great work all round - dash with glovebox looks much better too!
That really does look cool with the no arches and bonnet etc, almost mad max like!
So much work tho mate, i'm sure this will be a keeper now after all this work? Not that you were planning on selling it anyway I know!
With the steering wheel, cruise bracket and now this, looks like my car woo! Haha this looks really smart mate, you must be so chuffed you did that yourself - yes I have the PMS but in all honesty, I wanted the 'BMS' like this but just couldn't get anywhere with replies and there was no others...
oooh catching me up! I'm on 73k! Great attention to detail again Mark, defo done the right thing buying all the genuine bits, you'd kick yourself after I think otherwise after all this work.
The gold OZ's are staying on my car for now yes, I cleaned the Turini's the other week fronts and backs...
Fantastic progress Mark, i can't believe how deep you've gone into getting the paint sorted...….. but in a really good way! Don't think a rattle can would have sorted it to be honest lol! That photo of the bonnet with all the paint flaking off, O-M-G, that's a moment where you truly know there...
I have the PMS shifter and vibration dampener on my 182 - i never drove the car without the dampener as it all went on at the same time so can't comment there but with regards to the rattling, I went round the block when first fitted and sure enough, rattle rattle rattle. My OCD and need for...
Ouch! Sorry to see that, but knowing what my ZS was like, it doesn't surprise me sadly!
Oh and RS Tax? After many years with RS Turbos and the like, it very much IS real I know all too well!!
Nice work :D This really needs to inspire me to do my belts...….. for a car that I regard as pretty 'mint' my belts are the only thing that is minging!!
The wheels silver again should look great! That's very cheap too, I paid £192 (inc VAT) for my Turini's to be done! Guessing it'll be around the 100 mark for yours based on the M3 wheels?
So I sold the Jaguar two weekends ago to a lovely old boy who came down from the West Midlands on the train - i knew the first to view it would buy it, but it was just a case of waiting for that first person to show an interest while dealing with the usual eBay knobbers, I mean I thought one...
So when all this work is completed, it truly will be as good as everyone thinks it is...……. you've always been very honest about the car mate but all this paint work will put it right back up there :D
This is going to be sooo good when you get it back, that's an awesome list of things to be getting done and just the springs and shocks will have a great difference alone! I'm quite envious of the brakes! Andy at Engine Dynamics has worked on my Clio and did a few things including a coolant...
