Nothing worse than being p!ssed off at work all day you then never feel like doing anything when you get home, sometimes you just need a change of scenery.
I'm at that stage now where a change is what I need.
This is the set I have as I am running 16mm spacers at the front so it is 82mm long at the front and 75 at the rear with no spacers.
I had this one as well because you will get 4 spare nuts and 2 spare studs of each size for £5 more
With a 16mm spacer the nut just about takes up all the thread...
I was happy with the finish.
Not much prep I just scuffed it up with a scotch pad panel wiped it and tack rag, masked everything up and sprayed.
If I get chance tomorrow I will get a better photo.
It's a Safety Devices cage.
The anthracite is a good colour it does not show the dirt, I am planning on painting the cage over winter so may give the interior another coat but lacquer it this time.
this is what I used iirc it took about 2 1/2 cans...
Really good weekend but freezing on Saturday.
It was nice not to have all the chavs there who just went last time because it was free.
Silverstone is too big IMO for this event not enough going on to fill the place.
I got a few photos but none of the racing as I could not be bothered taking my...
I would just send them away it's too much hassle for DIY.
I tried mine last year and only done two as it was too much hassle, so just took them to city powder coaters.
Don't know if it would work but you could try nitomorse.
Just wondering to all those who take driveshafts do you take gearbox oil and a means of filling the box back up if the passenger side shaft needs changing?
I just take basics
trolley jack
spare wheels
spanners and small socket set
pliers
screwdrivers
loads of cable ties
tape, insulation and...
As Tony said its the drivers that are the main problem, on that day there were a few (not many) drivers that were driving sensible.
I don't object to racers using trackdays as long as they respect that others have paid to be there too.
They are silly fast but they can be a PITA when there are a few on a trackday, they just dive down the inside of you as you are about to turn into a corner, due to the downforce and slicks they have so much more cornering speed.
I would love to go in one to see what they are like though.
My...
My adjuster broke at Oulton on Tuesday, I ran a little bit wide at Knickerbrook and went over the serrated curbs, it snapped the plastic connector off.
Is it a whole new unit or is there another cheap fix?
I've used Falken hs439 eurowinter on my 250 for the last couple of years and they still look like new, they are not the best in snow (from reviews) but good in our sort of winter.
They are worth the money if you have the spare set of wheels.
I used DS2500 and they worked fine from cold but better with a bit of heat (did not need much), I am trying RC6 now and they have so much more bite, first time I used them I braked for the first corner as I would with the DS2500 and I almost stopped had to release the brake early but they do...
My iphone 6 has randomly started to show "searching" in the top left corner.
It will be working fine and then "searching" will come up and no signal (wifi still works fine), it happened when I was in France a couple of weeks ago the phone was working fine then it stopped for 3 days, I tried...
