I doubt you would get away with it if you were stopped. If it was your only daily transport then maybe.
I think they are just up the road from me. Never been there yet so I would be interested in hearing what they are like too
I came from classic mini to clios. I must admit that the 182 corners just as well but still not as fun as a mini. I'll be getting another one next year at some point. Nice cup btw
When I sell mine after Christmas I will be advertising without belts done as I don't have proof because the previous owner (a good friend and ex Renault mechanical) did the belts and dephaser December 17. I had been after the car for a long time. I don't think it's that important as the new...
I would ask him how much to part with it as he might say cheaper than you think. I think saying £500 is a joke tbf and a middle finger rightly deserved. Ask yourself if it was yours then what would you want for it and then that would be roughly your buying price. Also worth considering what...
I agree it looks nice. I would leave it as it is and just keep nice. Spend your money on maintaining it. Maybe the snappy wheel as they are lovely though and some poly exhaust mount inserts.
I remember the first time I gave my old 172 a hard drive and the grin factor it gives. Hadn't had that feeling since I had my old 1301cc mini (still better Imo 😉) on the road.
From my point of view the stock set up is a good balance overall. If you refresh the main components with genuine parts.
Appearance wise I have gone for turinis and Eibach sportlines which look great. The springs don't feel much different from stock but they just sit that little bit lower.
I...
We have a dci that does that. Every now and then it cuts out and we use easy start to get it going again. We should just ditch it but some how we just keep using it. It only happens in hot weather.
They are so easy to test to find the bad one. Just unplug each one and resistance test across the injector terminals. The one that reads below 14 ohms is the faulty one. It's a doddle.
Yes the mk1 cooper s pulled out of a garage. Then sold at auction for £18k. That's the dream find for any mini fanatic. To think people would buy one for £50 just to see them on the road for a week or two then scrap it. Makes me feel ill thinking about it. A friends dad has a mk1 cooper s 1071...
Would go for around £40k now if original and excellent condition. I'm more into minis than my clio and I've got a mk2 cooper as my lockaway investment/dry summer use. Now there's a car that brings more smile per mile than most!
I have looked into this myself and concluded that the standard speakers are actually good. The best way to get better sounds is to fit an underseat sub. I'm hoping to get a Kenwood one soon.
Unplug each injector and put a multimeter on the terminals of the injector. You should get 14.5 ohms or around about. A faulty one will read way below that. I did the same and had one read 10 ohms which was injector number 3. Changed it and it's now running great.
