Any update on the dci as my missus has one which I'm sure the turbo don't work like it did last year. I cleaned out the egr valve this weekend and it has made it slightly better. I'm going to take the pipe off and clean it out. How did you work the actuator?
Hi everyone, my handbrake and stop light are constantly on. I have checked the fluid level first but that's fine. I inspected the pads and changed the rears as they looked a little low but the lights still remain on. Any ideas on what I can check next? Is there a sensor sticking or something simple?
My 172 does this but I just give it a minute before setting off when cold. Sometimes it will also start then die so I have to turn it over again but hasn't really bothered me. I'd be interested in seeing what the new lambda sensor does though if you can report back?
Haven't checked the battery yet as I've been driving it about for a while like this. I pretty confident it's charging, I was hoping there may be a cable I could test or a fuse or something like that ha ha. My post title says first click but it's actually on second click just before turning to...
Great buy, what a bargain!!
I had a good deal on my 172 standard. Although I had to do belts and dephaser. My running total is £1200 which is car, dephaser, belts, new speedo sensor, new wipers and 2 new Toyo tyres.
For the fronts you want component 13cm speakers. I'm looking to do the same so I'm following this post too. I think I've read that you have to be careful that the new speakers fit in the doors as the magnets can be massive on some aftermarket ones.
Brilliant, cheers Steve, my washer bottle leaks where the rubber grommet goes. It's split the tank so I've used some ct1. Great advice about the peg btw. I would never have noticed.
Ah ok, cheers Steve, I took the washer bottle out and I have swapped the pumps over. Just putting it back together again. At least I'll have windscreen washers. I'll change the other one later on.
Hi Steve, no its a 172 standard, I have 2 pumps. I believe the one on the left is the windscreen/rear washer pump. I have tested for power to the plug but nothing. Thinking about it, didn't test the live with a known earth so I'm going to try a wire directly to the battery earth and see.
I'm really stuck where to begin. I tested the power to the plug by disconnecting it and using my test light between the terminals on the plug whilst the gf pulled the stalk back. The wipers go but there is nothing to the plug. Any ideas on where I can check?
