Pulled the engine out again today... Getting pretty damn good at it now.
Removed the bulkhead sound deadening, as I ordered some Nimbus to replace it. Also removed the clutch cable after this photo.
Then cut like 1/3 of the chassis leg out... Meaning I could get the engine back in, and...
When I say gearing is too short, I was meaning I was often requiring a lower gear for corner entry/apex, and then needing to go for the next gear before exiting the corner. You're smashing through the gears and getting into 5th pretty early and being pretty slow.
I certainly didn't expect it...
I'd say do mods that you want for a road car, and just use it on track if you like. Lots of people have fun in standard cars.
Couple of years ago, a mate had a 1.2 Corsa that he used on track all the time, because of his huge b****cks and learning how to drive a slow car, fast, he was passing...
True, I think its got to be a little more track focused this time round, but still a daily drive.

Where abouts are you?
Shells are all the same, so no different on engine mountings other than the alloy pieces that join everything up..
Throw up a project thread, should be a good read!
Cup shouldn't have the Cruise control wiring. So make sure your brake lights work, as that looks like the brake pedal switch plug. Bit hard see from the angle.
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
I thought, by your responce, there was an update.
Altho page numbers are all wrong for me.
So, I would have liked to have got more done this weekend, but not been in the right mindset for it yet, plus I'd like to do things in the order I have them in my head.
I discovered the other day a Megane 1.9 DCi 6speed box would be a better fit, NDO01 box vs the Laguna/Trafic/Clio V6 huge PK6...
