Quick Update: Nurburgring trip booked for April 22nd -25 :tongueout: So I have had to address a few issues with the car! The radiator is fine, but it's never been changed and starting to 'bulge' and the fins look a mess, not the best for a thousand + miles across Europe. I have replaced it...

The driving standard at the ring is much better than a Combe action day ;) Back to the 'ring again it a couple of weeks time :)

I got my last 2 from ECP and they fitted fine. However some people have had issues with the correct fittment from ECP.

The plug is the same! As I said above, they just plug in the same connectors and work fine.

I did this a couple if months ago it's a piss of piss TBH, they just plug into the existing connectors auto lights still work too ( on MK2 172 non cup)

It may well be the dogbone mount mate. I now have a PMS shifter and powerflex dogbone mount and my gearshift is great.

Somethings not quite right IMO, I never had any problems with my 172 selecting gear on road/ track with the OEM set up.

It might be coming in from the boot area, check the two black grommets either side these often leak.

Today I replaced by silvervisons with the OEM indicator bulbs and went out for a 70 mile drive on my favourite B roads. The engine etc is running very well, I need to fit new spark plugs, radiator and give it a good polish ready for the summer. Hopefully get this year's first 'ring trip booked...

I am in the same boat as you. I also don't want boost for my 172. I did want a RS2, but now think I will end up going down the ITB route and very much like the look of PMS itb kit.

Not really, my car has the 98 Ron map, itg maxogen air filter ktec stealth/ now PMS exhaust and the 5k 'kick' has pretty much gone.
