I should of sent it down his door when it opened up 😂
yeah infield was like ice. Had to literally just drive over it at road speed. The circuit was fine though. Michelin wets do the business
If you ever want to see what oulton park is like backwards 👇🏼
SS1 of The Neil Howard Stages
Good start to the rally catching our 30 second car 1 lap in on the slippy infield section.
Ended up joint 17th quickest tied with Will Owen in his millington Mk2 escort, 2nd in class and fastest fwd...
Neil Howard Stages from Oulton Park started well on the Saturday morning.
2nd in class and 17th overall after ss1.
SS2 we snapped a driveshaft, I managed to drive it off the stage on 1 shaft and managed to get out for the remained of the day.
Setting fastest in class on ss4 and 2 fastest on...
Oulton went well today. Funny how the track dayers say bilsteins are to soft when I went past every car on track 😂
Looking forward to Saturday now. Hopefully be able to push on well after today
New Sachs clutch is in and what a difference. It’s heavy but changing gear is so easy now. Everyone feels a lot more tighter.
M and my brother are at oulton tomorrow for a track day before the first round of the msn circuit rally championship on Saturday at oulton.
Both cars checked over and...
New clutch, just waiting on a new lightened flywheel.
I’ve entered the Neil Howard Stages at oulton park on the 2nd of November and the trackday on the Thursday just as a test. The last time I took the clio round there was over 2 years ago when the car was standard with just two bucket seats...
Yeah same as what he uses when he rally’s.
I’ve got an on board from where he merges half a lap ahead of me and within that lap I catch him and pass him 😂
Nice video mate. I enjoyed Blyton when I rallied there this year. It really suits a clio.
Sam Bennet must of been driving well to get that time. He did the rally with me and he was something like 40 seconds behind overall.
I’m not sure how much it weighs but I don’t think it’s the lightest one about. Still got full interior loom and heaters.
Yeah it’s for sale at the minute as the ultimate spec rally clio has come for sale minus the engine. So if mines goes I’ll be buying that
Them lanes were amazing too. So...
Mixed day Hills Ford Three Shires stages.
Having a relatively good start the clutch let go half way through ss3, driving the stage with no clutch which finally give up the ghost on the road section.
A 70 min round trip drive to Apex for a clutch and some quick spannering by brother and dad...
Another small update.
Last minute checks I noticed this
Omp subframe was bent and torn. I seriously wouldn’t like a major off with these. I’ve replaced it with another for this rally but that’s not ideal
New stickers on the service van
The finished car
Thanks Jon 👍🏻 You venturing out to any rallies over the weekend? Got a few to pick from. I’m going to watch the prom on the Friday night straight from recce 😂
The shell has now been pulled back straight. So time to inspect the damage, as the car was dropped off to be jigged straight after the event.
2 bent trumpets
Shell was straight but the wheels weren’t
Subframe was bent badly. Probably weakened by the amount of rivnuts needed for the pms...
So if you follow me or Evans rallying on social media you’d of seen what happened yesterday.
Started car 17 which with the results I’ve been getting was laughable but i went there to get top 3 overall. Some would say it’s impossible with the cars there but I felt I had the pace on the tight...
It’s only a standard engine with Jenveys bolted to it, 182 manifold and pms exhaust. 194bhp and 170 lbft, has a lower final drive so gets through the gears a lot quicker
Been a little quiet on here recently.
So Thursday night before the rally I took my car to efi to cure a few niggles. He found the throttle position sensor was loosing signal at 2 points in the rpm range. He ran an earth to the ecu and that was it. 9:30 at night and the car wouldn’t run at all...
