My oil temps on the std engine + RS2 with no oil cooler and 10W50 were well over 130 according to my gauge. It was difficult to get an clear reading as it was nearly off the scale lol.
It looks a pretty good series to me. The ktec coilovers and ecu are only a small expense in the scheme of things when it comes to racing. Single day events work best for me at the moment or I might consider swapping my safety gear from my 172 cup race car to my 182 FF road car.
I look forward...
I have the cartek solid state.
I cut the red wire as the isolator needs to see power even when the key is in the off position. I did it with the yellow initially and it didn't work properly.
They've been discussed quite a bit.

Not built to motorsport standards so questionable as a safety device but the people who've had them seem happy enough with them.
Well you are right anyway lol.
Red is permanent live, green and yellow is pos I, yellow is pos II and orange is position III. I have just checked mine.
I had to cut the permanent live as my cut off was solid state and needed power even when the key was off. But your diagram in post 1 suggests...
I was just going to echo what others have said about your box over heating while others don't under similar circumstances. I'd be looking for an underlying problem rather than trying to hide symptoms.
And I'd say the same about the oil pressure at Mallory. I just looked at my video and I can...
You could drill the nut out completely and weld a flange nut in the hole from the outside and grind down the weld to be level. Never tried it myself though.
It is one of those tests that you shoud not be allowed to tie your own shoe laces if you fail. But at the same time you could easily make a stupid mistake in the flags section that you have to get 100% correct.
A guy on mine failed the driving bit, he'd never driven on track before though.
Cage doesn't need to be fia it only needs to be to msa std no certification needed.
I'm not even sure you need anything other than a suit and helmet to comply with the regs.
You wouldn't need a catch tank with std induction setup as the breather is fed into the engine and that is fine by the regs.
I used to do grass track racing. My race was completly std 998cc mini. I bought my car ready to race for 400 quid. It was great fun and close racing. But there was always one or two cars that were implausibly fast.
In short it's a great idea I would have been up for it if my car was not already...
I've had a ktec stealth for years it was relatively quiet 86db and not boomy on the motorway. I did thousands of motorway miles with it. Only time it was boomy was up hills.
