I remember Matt/TDF posted that the stock oil pump was ok to about 8200 rpm transient, so you wouldn't change the pump speed much.

Sounds like a great day Russ. Interesting about the isolator, they do have a rep. I have the same one as you as I've mentioned before and not had any problem. Any idea what caused it?
I'll be watching the vid later.
Chip does have some valid points.
I know you guys are relaxed about regs but once they're submitted to the msa and people who may not be on here are building cars to them. Changing them adhoc mid season may not be so easy. Clarity up front is best all round.
I'm sure they have plenty of time...
There are some draft regs on the TARC site. They look pretty good.

That renault pdf knocking around says 1 bar idle, 3 bar at 3000rpm.
I've just looked at my race footage (so just reading from the gauge) from Mallory and I get just less then 5 bar at around 7500rpm. It drops to about 2.5 bar around the hairpin, but the revs do drop to about 3000rpm. The...
And with respect to barriers etc, in racing you are covered by the MSA but you are liable for their excess (I know this for a fact in rallying I assume it is the same thoughout).
It is rarely done though, normally the organisers just cover it, but they can ask you for it if they want to. A...
The trackday trophy have a similar reg that I queried regarding the ASTs and they said the different spring position was fine.
Can't believe you aren't going to race next year James. Hope you manage to sort something out.
Pics might help.
I'm sure I've heard someone say the cup racer cages went in through the windscreen. Never fitted that specific type myself though.
Could ratchet straps not pull the back stays in enough to miss the B pillar?
I think it is the negligence that changes things legally. I've always had in the back of my mind, don't know where from, that if you do something that is negligent then you could be held to account, although I'd never heard of it happening.
I haven't read the PH thread.
But if this was negligence (and I can see why driving through yellows at speed would be) then everyone having third party insurance against negligence would not cost anything like normal track day insurance. So it probably wouldn't cost much more. Not that I agree...
I don't know if you do track days Adam but everyone accepts there is no come back, they say it in the drivers briefing.
You could have track days that insist on insurance for those with cars they can't afford to take on track, and track days with no insurance. Although how you'd enforce no...

You probably struggle to fit a wider rad if you have the original PAS, I can't remember what you have.
Have you got rake? I've seen a few clios understeer fixed by raising the rear a little.
Surely the track day companies just need to change their disclaimers to include this sort of thing. I know some of you guys are saying different but there must be a solution or how does it not happen in racing were there is far more money available in pro stuff.
If you do MSA backed motorsport...
