I dont ask mates with big social media followings for such favours. I've had a few bits of traffic from his two videos anyway!
I used to just get called Jack Whitehall :(
Shameless self promotion, but given my history with buying way too many cars a year, I figured why not try youtube?
I'd appreciate any help getting a bit of traction, although, if I'm really that s**t at it I probably dont deserve it.
I guess I'd expect it to drive like either a Manual, or an Auto. Or better than both of those. At least better than one of them!
I'd take a classic torque converter Auto over a DSG any day, if not changing gears was my thang.
What is it you love the most?
The way they either want to be in 7th or 2nd all the time?
The delay from pressing the throttle to car moving, especially fun when going for a gap in traffic?
Or is it the way they can turn a fast, fun and interesting car into something so dull you almost fall...
Oh mate thats not even all the columns. I've got CC, Fuel time, Engine Config, Driven wheels etc etc.
My Flickr account has every car I've owned on it I'm pretty sure.
The only ones missing from Flickr are the Black MK5 GTI I had this year and my TT.
DSG = Dog s**t Gearbox. Even when its working they're horrific to drive about in. May as well get my Grandad to do the gears and hes dead.
Anyway, recently compiled a list of cars I've owned (35 now in 12 years of driving, no crashes I may add!) Of that Bunch 11 have been VAGs.
Current VAG...
He’s give me the heads up he’s dropping the price on this.
Really wants my Golf, hence making it the cheapest currently on eBay (that isn’t a write off or broken)

A friend put his 200 up sale recently. I went to go have a quick blast in exchange for taking a few photos of it, its a very nice car. Gears are good, hes had the belts done at Beaniesport recently. Overall very honest. I thought I'd share it here in case anyone is...
My guilty pleasure is looking at a few of the chod-fiilled auctions when I'm bored. Anglia Car Auctions is always a good one!
https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/sat-28th-29th-august/2005-renault-megane-sport-225-6-577-miles-from-new/
I always see insane low mileage cars like this...
My pet hate is people saying belts done at a mileage.
Belts need to be done every 5 years regardless of miles. So when you list it, put the date and it will save a lot of questions!
I’ve had over 30 cars in the last 10 years. I get bored and chop and change a lot.
But if there was one car I could keep for life, it would be this. Inevitably I will have to buy a house at some point which will probably be the reason to sell it.
So here’s hoping I can keep delaying it some more!
Peak car right here. Ignoring the Audi 'vert obviously.
Back and in fine fettle. The new brake lines have definately made a difference, but I'm shopping for pads soon. I have a track day booked in July, what could possible go wrong?
So thought I better update this thread for once!
After fitting all the new suspension arms, getting the tyres and tracking done I've basically just been using it as much as I can! There were a few jobs that I wanted done before the MOT though.
First up, the left hand side radiator, the ONLY...
This thread is now about the 172 as the 182 has gone!
Want to keep this 172 around. Fresh wheels, wing, resprayed bumper and plates have completed it externally!
Ive got sticky brakes so I was going to have it up and do an overhall anyway. Cheers! I'll try that first.
Has new rear discs and pads and the handbrake sticks a bit. Whats the betting the spacer is missing at the rear?
That was my worry. Because surely the ABS rings are either reading or not, and if theyre not, I'd have ABS faults. Which leaves me with.... an issue with the ABS module or cluster?
Ah yes, the classic 172 intermittent speedo fault.
Its a 2003/03 Car. Does that mean its the later gearbox and therefore doesnt have a speedo sensor on it? Easiest way to tell?
And if it DOESNT Have a sensor, whats the next thing to check?
Yeah they’ve been done to a high enough standard that I don’t want to even try removing them.
Read above.
Nope?
The 182 is actually, in quite a few areas, in better nick than the 172! Barely a spec of rust on the fuel flap for example and none at all on the rear arches.
