Many thanks chap. Always something else to do. House move on the cards soon so might get the car out of the way and get the underneath done. Got all the bits already.
PMS delivery days are always good days.
Solid top mounts and strut brace. Booked for fitting next week. Also picked up some camber bolts from @iyrix which will be fitted at the same time.
I went for this.
Proxxon 2228660 Polishing machine, Black, Green, Silver https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JVT00JM/?tag=cliospnet01-21
I’ve used the Rupes Ibrid and was never impressed in DA mode - excellent as a mini rotary but bugger all use otherwise. Proxxon is cheap and works superbly.
For the south central guys, we could meet at Chieveley Services and pick up anyone else towards the top of the A34?
I usually peel off at Peartree Services on the A34 and take the A4260 through Kidlington up to Banbury then across country to C&M - bit more enjoyable than the M40.
I was also at this place a few days ago for work. No pics taken at owner’s request but staggering McLaren collection including an operational ex-Senna MP4 😳

Run out today to Podium Place. New cars and coffee hangout in Newbury. Great coffee, chilled out and lots of decent metal parked up. It’s also about 70 miles closer to home than C&M.
Agree bud. I’m heading to Podium Place near me at the weekend - seems quite a cool hangout and only half an hour up the road. Despite being a shiny car freak I’m not overly bothered about being “seen” but I do get mildly pissed when I’m asked to park the shitty old Clio out of sight so the...
They also seem to have changed their approach to influencers and other stand out cars and are giving them priority position. I’m not massively fussed but ended up parked in a dusty field last time .
C&M seems to be busier than ever post-lockdown. Last time I arrived a few minutes into the afternoon slot and it was rammed.
I’ll be heading A303/A34 and then across to Banbury via the A/B roads north of Oxford as it’s a bit less tedious than M40.
Next daft project done. Steering wheel spokes painted satin black, carbon vinyl and a spare sticker applied to the now redundant horn button.
Ferried mother in law to a hospital appointment yesterday. “It’s not that noisy Andy”....”hold my beer” 😂😂
Be up for that. It’s much better up there post lockdown. Rammed last time I went and plenty of great cars. Did blink a bit at £35 for burgers and chips for 2 😳😳
Been a little while. The misfire issue caused a temporary loss of love and I did consider selling up and moving on but now appears fixed courtesy of replacing the plug from the ECU to coilpack as this was causing the engine to cut out when moved slightly. No issues since.
Bonnet flatted...
Doesn’t lose any lubricity or suds where most car shampoos fall away as they mix with brake dust and old dressing. Deep cleans as well as any wheel cleaner I’ve used.
To be fair I’ve not tried it on badly stained wheels but it’s on par with BH Auto Wheel on my wheels which get cleaned...
2 coats of Tyre Serum an hour or so apart. Tyre deep cleaned with AG tar remover first to remove as much old dressing as possible as I’m out of AS Preptone.
Stocked up on BH Autofoam and added Garage Therapy Tyre Serum to the cupboard. I’ve been more and more impressed with this brand - wheel shampoo is a game changer.
