Thanks for the input guys, went for the cyc gun in the end, not used it for the car yet but it feels brilliant and makes 'quite' a difference compared to the full size lance! Foam lance adapter was a perfect fit as well.

Also picked up some Bilt Hamber auto foam (finally!) and did another PIR (panel impact ratio) measurement.

At minimum usage I need approximately 1900ml of auto foam in a 700ml bottle to get to 4%, at fully open I need 340ml in a 700ml bottle.

If using half a bottle per wash that would amount to 29 washes, 55p per wash.

Short trigger looks great, really want to get one for mine at some point. Just got a Quick release adaptor on the stock lance currently which makes a good difference not having the long extension

I can imagine that already being a good upgrade.

I haven't washed the cars with the short trigger yet but with two cars parked on the drive there's just no space to foam with a long lance, hope that problem is solved now. Saves me moving cars around for just a quick wash.

Sadly my experience of the trigger gun wasn’t quite as positive. It’ll be going back. Just managed to grab the hose as it came free under pressure before it hit the wife’s car.

Wow!

Glad you could get hold of the hose, that could cause a hell of a dent.

Can you see what exactly failed? Anything I could check on mine?

I felt a jerk and as I looked down the hose pulled free. To be fair it hit me in the b****cks first and soaked my shorts before I grabbed it.

The entire connector has failed - I’m sure something pinged off but can’t find anything on the drive.

Debating whether to replace or stick with my Karcher lance now. At least they don’t fail like this 🤷‍♀️

Garage Therapy wheel shampoo. Game changer. Seriously impressed with this stuff. No loss of suds or slickness which I’ve always had as I work around the car as the shampoo mixes with old tyre dressing and grime/brake dust.

Gyeon Tyre - don’t like the new pump dispenser at all but product remains my go to dressing. Reasonably durable and not as glossy as T1.

Great service from iodetail too 👍

Stocked up on BH Autofoam and added Garage Therapy Tyre Serum to the cupboard. I’ve been more and more impressed with this brand - wheel shampoo is a game changer.

Looking forward to trying the decon shampoo.

Auto wash is brilliant for what it is. Happily buy more when it runs out.

Messed with a wax called bmd nemesis. Superb.

Also popped some sigma on a couple of cars in work

In what way a game changer? And compared to what?

I'm a great fan of Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel, works great and doesn't smell too bad for a good price, have you used that?

Doesn’t lose any lubricity or suds where most car shampoos fall away as they mix with brake dust and old dressing. Deep cleans as well as any wheel cleaner I’ve used.

To be fair I’ve not tried it on badly stained wheels but it’s on par with BH Auto Wheel on my wheels which get cleaned fortnightly. You can either use it as a straight shampoo with a bucket or via foamer as it clings really well.

Better VFM than a lot of the traditional wheel cleaners too.

These turned up the other day too. Bug remover is excellent, other 2 are new to me. Sigma is superb, decon shampoo is to perk up the coatings on the dailies.

Ordered a new short trigger and hose from direct hoses. Great service and price. Hose is cut etc by them and the trigger is branded by them. Very impressed.

Another vote for Direct Hoses. I had their all black 7 (or 9) as a christmas present. Brilliant. Wanted a reel for my 20m hose. Tried to order one and they called me, asked me to send it back to them as they had to attach it. They did this quite quickly and free of charge. Cant argue there!

ordered this a few weeks back and just cleaned the leather seats in my E34. Was pretty good tbh, really easy to use and didn't take too long.
The white cloth that is in the box ended up looking like this

I have used Gliptone leather cleaner stuff in the past but sort of wish I had seen this Gyeon stuff first to see how dirty it actually was. I know the car is not used a lot so will have to use it on my daily Skoda to see how hard wearing the stuff is.

I ordered some of this to try on my brothers 182. Seems a really good product for the underside. Designed by one of the best in the business, so thought I’d give it a go.

Few new bits. I’ve become a big fan of GT products - yet to find a bad one. Stocking up on polishes too as I plan to start work on making the daily look half decent.

Storage is in the cupboards that came with the house. Longer term plan is to replace with a single cabinet.

Grabbed a few bits when I visited GT HQ today for a business meeting. Will be used on the daily once I can get some space booked at a mate’s unit.

50th birthday present from the family. SPTA 75mm DA. Couldn’t justify a Rupes as they’re more than 3x the price. Added some decent pads from Lake Country.

Exfoli-Block is a new one on me. Will be using it when the daily gets its full exterior detail.

Just ordered a 20m hose and reel for the pressure washer, the hose that came with it has split and I’m fed up of taking all the stuff in and out of the garage when I want to clean the cars. Should make things easier and I’ll look to mount the PW on the wall out of the way at some point as well.
