Such a tenuous point, even for CS!
Martin, you've never driven an F1 car IIRC so you're not in a position to say whether sub 3 sec 0-60 is fast IIRC. Every time Gally gets all defensive I think of this :)

Oh, no... I meant OEM as in what OEM actually means.
Not the completely made up meaning of OEM to mean "not uprated." You not wanting to go forged on that waterpump? ;)
"equivalent to:
FWP blah blah
blah blah
blah blah"
Obvious question perhaps, but if one of those codes/numbers is the OEM or OEM supplier's part number and KCP1805 isn't...
Anyway I'm sure someone who works with VAG regularly will be able to say in 2 seconds whether or not Keyparts...
I believe you've answered your own question.
Get a swan neck spanner and a hex head socket on a torque wrench. It's something in the *region* of 25 Nm. Your impact gun is probably just spinning the damper shaft and doing no good whatsoever to the damper shaft seal.
edit: you'll read other...
Or plug it into an RS Tuner at a local meet or something.
Doesn't need a license to check the ECU "history" IIRC.
5k kick, 7500 limit (the rev counter is hardly precise) or "smooth" idle etc. could be somewhat difficult to determine if you've only ever driven one 1*2 etc.
Correct and also wider front arch liners (to fit wider bumper & fender)
Some people have modified the Renaultsport bumper to fit the non-Renaultsport arches (fenders) but it all gets a bit messy with fiberglass and cutting and bending something that's not designed to fit.
This is all well and good (the first graph looks sort of as you'd expect for a healthy lambda on a s*** piece of data logging equipment that does not have a fast enough refresh rate), but I'm not convinced we're/you're looking at the right lambda sensor.
The second screenshot for example begs...
Two things you can easily do at home.
1) Swap the pre and post cat lambda around. The pre cat manages the air fuel mixture so if this sensor is dodgy then the ECU is fed the wrong info and puts the wrong amount of fuel in (hence poor performance & MPG). The post cat lambda sensor is only...
Good bunch of questions, but I do believe there are answers to each that fit with the overall picture. I wrote a massive reply and decided no-one would care so wrote a short version:
* Rally cars are entirely different. On a circuit absorbing bumps is one of the lowest priorities hence you can...
I would've thought you'd know the answer to that one.
Are your Bilstein rears a coilover? If not then the motion ratio of the spring position on the rear beam straight away makes the rear more like a 90 N/mm coilover (a bit over 500 lb).
The endless quest to better control the front contact...
Got a link to that?
Eibach proline kit is lower but there's nothing on the eibach website to suggest they're softer.
Lowering springs tend to have a shorted free length to give lows and a higher (firmer) spring rate to stop the car bottoming out over bumps etc.
I think it's fair to say you've misunderstood what he was trying to say.
A healthy Clio will do 60ish in 2nd. But that does not mean that every Clio that can do 60ish in 2nd is healthy.
LOL! "it dus 60 in 2nd mate so it should b spot on"
If you're in doubt go to a specialist and get it checked. If you're concerned enough to spend £100 for peace of mind then just be prepared to pay the whole whack if it turns out it the dephaser is noisy, cam seals are leaking...
Yeah saw a few recommendations on CS when I was looking for the 182's anthracite wheel colour code so gave them a go. Colour match was absolutely spot on. Was just doing touch ups and barely needed to blend anything in at all.
Different colours will be more difficult to colour match though so...
Not really, Dan is a long way west & sussex is in the east :p Mike Woodford Motorsport (Staines) or Rentech (Portsmouth) is probably the closest.
Just for reference IIRC Dan@SJM charges a little over £100 to check and adjust timing vs £650 for belts/dephaser/oil (in the south east, Dan is a...
Surprisingly easy and do-able if you're that way inclined. Auto paint St Helens are very good at matching Renault colours and reasonably priced if you decide to DIY.
Weekends? Summer evenings?
Paying for paint at retail rates is surprisingly expensive. Sprayshack starts from circa £100 and that price does not include prep work (though you'd hope a new spoiler wouldn't require it)
As above, hose pipe & a funnel makes gearbox oil a piece of cake.
Halfords will sell you an 8mm drain plug key from Laser for £8 or so (half that on ebay/amazon if you want to wait.)
Circa £600-650 depending on who you are near.
Dan@SJM (somerset) or Fred@BTM (birmingham) are the closest of the big names (yes, I know it's miles). Might be able to find somewhere good in south wales if you look in the regional section?
The two most expensive quotes I've had are both in...
There's 3 or 4 reasons why those spring rates shout "road" and not track focused IMO. On the flip side the adjustable 2-way damping (if the adjustment is big enough) might make them a perfect compromise for a daily driver.
It's not just the overall number, it's things like the front/rear ratio...
As you say interesting to see something moving, but boring because it does exactly what you're expecting.
Pointing it at OE wishbone bushes could be interesting, likewise maybe some rear beam action to see it flex.
To add to Northloop's 4:30am (?!?!) comments...
Bumpsteer occurs whenever the arc described by the steering arm (blue line) is different in any way (length, angle, radius etc.) to the arc described by the wishbone (red line for arguments sake) when you look at the car approximately head on. So...
Go out on a limb - make a new front anti roll bar :p
As I sort of said roll stiffness is what the Clio really wants. And everyone gives it roll stiffness with stiff springs. But obviously this somewhat affects how it copes with bumps! By making a stiffer roll bar you can therefore achieve a...
Pictures are indeed fascinating. It's actually how vehicle dynamics started and how the first analysis were done before people knew what and why cars behave the way they do.
I think a massive amount of the cars on Cliosport would benefit from going back to basics and actually thinking about...
