What have you done to your car today ???

Replaced another injector!

I was just going to just buy 3 as I had one go a couple months ago so thought I might as well just do them all now but Euro car parts only had 1 on the shelf.

Made a battery cover.

Picked up one of my turinis and taken another back to where powdercoated them, poor finish and the second had cracks in the finish. Still not perfect but I cant be bothered any more.

Gave it a quick clean and then fitted a Joie 360 seat for the baby. Going to be interesting getting him in and out of there.
Think the baby seat might end up in the front seat rather than the rear bench

I think I've already got those in mine and it's still wonky! Probably time for some powerflex bushes in spring..

Done the timing belt, tensioner, dephaser, water pump and aux belt today. Had some issues getting the exhaust pulley nut undone so ended up taking the rocker cover off to get some heat onto the nut. So the rocker cover got re-sealed as well, which is handy because there was a bit of an oil leak onto the spark plugs.
Got to double check it's properly bled up tomorrow.
Lower timing cover disintegrated upon removal so I'll have to source and fit one of those another time

Started a bit of a brake refurb, the union on the brake line is seized to the line itself so looks like I need new ones on the back😫

Fitted solid gearbox mount but my god what a pain in the arse. Ran out of light too so ended up holding a torch in my mouth. Not a fun few hours but it's done. I think renault have a fetish for over complicating things and putting bolts in impossible to reach places!

Replaced the OS handbrake cable, I can confirm that the Pagid ones listed for ph2 172s from ECP fit perfectly.

I started poking around but stopped when I found some rust on the master cylinder :cautious:

Got a sweet deal on some brand new 8J cup racer Speedline’s, has them wrap in 225/45 Michelin Cup 2’s. Still managed to retain my 19mm spacers so well chuffed!

Some new top mount sets on the ph1 172 and found bearings solid so guess it will make it steer a little better now and fixed the sticking rear caliper, just a quick strip and clean freed it up
