I bet this is fun round croft! I am hopefully going to get the Twingo ready to do the Christmas Stages at croft in December. Did I read somewhere that your from Redcar? If so I am only up the road in Seaton Carew.
I started off in a MK1 Clio 1.8 8v rsi and did a track day at teesside and some road rallys.
Built a rally puma that had done over 100 events, road rallys, stage rallys, auto tests, track days ect when she was sold had 165k on the original engine and box and never failed to finish an event...
Wow that's definitely a once in a lifetime experience! I rally abit not very well but I am amazed when you look at the front runners videos on YouTube and you think f**k that! After doing the same stage. The speed the top level guys have is mind blowing.
Been looking at the proline internal brake line kit for the Twingo.
Have any of you guys used there kits and what is there quality like?
Also is there massive difference between using the kit that uses gromits and the bulkhead kit?
Any info/help would be appreciated.
You can fit them to a Twingo 133 so would assume that on a Clio they would work. I don't know what length spring or lb. People use Escort ones on loads of different things as there cheap and you have lots of options.
This is why Mull is heaven! Every October for over 30 years the annual pilgrimage to a small windswept rugged island on the west coast of Scotland. Usually started by a 5 hour drive from home up to Oban for the ferry over to Mull. I think my love for the island comes from my dad my first memory...
I would rather go to Scotland over Wales any day. I grew up on the west coast in a town called Oban. The west coast is brilliant with beautiful scenery and roads. For me the best and most challenging roads in the UK are on an island called Mull with scenery that is some of the best in the world...
Thought that was the case. Thanks for the help. Just starting thinking about next year as some of the rallys I want to do are to far away to drive the car to.
So basically it's doable just need the tow car max laden weight and the trailer max weight to add up to 3500kg max?
So next what is a good car and trailer combo?
Car needs to be below 1k not fussed on brands or how quick it is just something reliable.
Am I correct in thinking that I can tow a car trailer with a car on aslong as the total weight is less than 3500kg on a B licence?
Just looking at ways of transporting the rally car round next year.
Thanks for any advice.
