Got a Baileys DV26 lying around so going to use that and see how I like it/the car responds to it. Should help keep the turbo spinning during gear changes aswell.
Personally I'm a massive fan of Bilberry's. My wheels are sealed with Poorboys Wheel Sealant so I just spray them with 40/60 Bilberry/water mixture, leave it to do it's job for 5 minutes then pressure wash it off.
Never fails.
I'm already considering a 2nd engine to send to Andy for forging! But then I'm fully aware it snowballs to O2M, diff, etc. And I've already put about £6k into a car I bought for £2,800 so I am exercising some restraint!
I had a slightly split right thumb grip on mine when it went to Andy.
First day of getting it back it completely ripped off because I had to hold the wheel a lot tighter when I was WOT over 4,00RPM in 1st or 2nd. Adjusting now so it doesn't surprise me as much as it did and I'm not holding on...
Think you are looking at £1500 without diff as the flywheel is custom made costing about £400-£500! Absolute work of art though, Andy shown me George's flywheel when I collected my car and it is such a shame its hidden away!
George - You crazy! s**t off a well greased shovel comes to mind!
Got pulled when I had my MK4 Golf GTi 20vT for "speeding" which infact I wasn't. Told me I was misjudging my actual speed and my response was "You misjudged your braking distance when you nearly smashed into the back of me at the pedestrian crossing." (Which he did. I could hear his tyres...
I started at medium but due to mileage it would mean engine rebuilds every 2 years and a paddle clutch that would make being stuck in traffic painful!
~230BHP is pretty quick in these, trust me!
Hi mate, can't go wrong with Andy. Good guy, terrible banter and I think the fact he's always overloaded with work speaks volumes for his reputation!
What power are you looking at?
I'm running Brembo HC discs with Ferodo DS2500 pads, 230 brake and they scrub off the speed fine. I'm not looking at 4 pots just yet anyway!
+1 for clioturbo.co.uk aswell!
Took the car to EFI Parts today. Even though it has been running great and the misfiring on boost has stopped since the coil pack replacement, Andy urged me to go so that he could be re-assured everything was OK.
Chris was great to deal with, took the time to have a chat about the issues I did...
Just wondered if it was anyone on here?
Spoke briefly to a chap outside, not sure if he owned one?
Only found Chris once I got into the industrial estate as I spotted these outside!

Not under the ideal circumstances and wasn't aware it was being filmed ( until I accelerate in the 2nd video ) but there's two from when I first got it back. Will get some better ones soon! Chatters so much better over 3,000RPM!
Won't be long until you destroy your steering wheel thumb grips through having to fight the torque steer so hard, as your surroundings blur and your car is taking off like a rocket!
Chin up mate, good things come to those who wait!
That's because your as daft as Evo and need TONNSS of boost! I was loosing traction in 2nd above 4,000RPM earlier (in the dry, 19oC).... I still don't know how you rein it in with the power/torque your running! Maybe I need to keep loosing traction so I can upgrade my rubber sooner!
Really...
Hope it's all sorted sharpish and you get the boost bus back soon! Did you look into the Vibratechnics? Mine are surprisingly not very harsh! Or I'm just adjusting to them.
I didn't want to post it up as I was quite gutted to be fair. Also I have witnessed that some folk on here seem to have some kind of vendetta against him and would jump in slagging his work off, "You've only had it back a fortnight its not very reliable is it? etc etc etc". I had an idea the...
So today I woke hopeful, and praying.
Started the car up after work on Tuesday and it was very rough. 2 cylinders rough. Called Andy and did some initial checks but to no avail. I decided I'd nurse the car home and get the laptop on the Adaptronic to help Andy diagnose what was up. 5 minutes...
I'm running them and find they are very bright, I'm more than happy with them. IIRC I paid around £100 for a pair so shop around a little! However they aren't very blue imo, its only the edges of the beam that have the blue tint.
