This is mine as a comparison https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-172-Turbo-Engine-Dynamics-Conversion-with-Quaife-LSD/202081522199 I'd not be paying £5,500 for just a converted car.
I'm in two minds at the moment about it, I literally have no use for it. I'm thinking of taxing it from the...
Doesn't look a bad car, but the spec isn't great for the money.
Had mine up for £5,250 with the LSD, decent suspension, bushes replaced, etc. with no interest.
Today, my turbo got a new MOT, it's been SORN since November, apart from a month on the road in Feb and just locked in the garage.
Time for an oil cooler and some track days!
When we change wheels and suspension, isn't Cup pack just a spoiler and spliter?
@massivewangers - Not many out there who would, I got no real interest in my diffed turbo.
Last summer, someone flashed me out of the pub, I flashed hazards at them and everyone else for the next 5 mins.
Forgot, took it for MOT he presses the button and stuck on they are, The switch is £20 from Renault or Vauxhall as you can use one of one of their vans. Got a replacement for £4 of eBay.
With no MOT maybe £300, but is that car actually that bad? Have you been driving round with knackered discs and not servicing it?
Did they mention the lever being missing from the rear brake valve?
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/611019/mot-inspection-manual-classes-3-4-5-and-7.pdf check 2.4 - As long as they go back into position and don't fall out it's fine.
Was told to insist on one because of the Quaife, but as soon as I mentioned it 3 MOTs ago they've always road tested it rather than use the rollers.
Emissions are my own fault, it's got the ktec cat and it went in cold, will thrash it on the way to the retest.
Went on to fail on a rear bearing, hazard switch and the emissions being way over! Wish I'd never worried about the airbag light now!
"Has it been tuned?" Says the tester whilst doing the emissions... "Ever so slightly!" After the road brake test, he got out "goes doesn't it!"
MOT tomorrow, and couldn't get resistors to turn off my airbag light so refitted my standard wheel, connected it all up (including the horn connection) reconnected the battery and tested the ph1 stalk, all working and airbag light off.
Pushed the airbag in place and as I did there was a long...
As all the above have said, it's a nightmare breaking a full car. That's why when I sold my Cup, everything went back to standard and the car went whole for £1300.
I then sold my PMS shifter, vibratech mounts and some other bits on. From memory, ended up with around £2000 back.
If you've got the originals, remove the PMS, Turinis and Snappy wheel as this will get a nice chunk of cash.
PMS Shifter currently out of stock so will fetch £300 on Facebook groups!
Had it on eBay last October with no interest, on here with no interest at £5k with a quaife and coilovers.
It's an odd market, as yours is a better colour you might do better.
Finally fixed this today, found an old post from @Daniel about pulling the arch liner out, smacking the horn with a hammer and then cleaning all the connections up.
Yay, can get an MOT again :)
