Hi, all!
Over the past few days iv'e been changing the gearbox on my Ph2 172.
It's the biggest task Iv'e ever attempted so took me a little longer than normal!

In the process of doing this as I cannot find a JC5-129 box so I'm fitting a JC5-130 with no speedo drive.
How much does it cost to have it plugged in and changed over?
Cory.
Below I have drawn a diagram trying to explain why using a HID bulb in standard reflective housings can be dangerous to other road users.
The "un-usable" beam is also know as light bleed. All reflective headlights have light bleed, a certain amount of light bleed is acceptable. Although they...
Count me in where ever we go. I have a 172 not a dci now!
@msremmert Did I see your car at around 6:30am heading down towards ponty from the nelson area some time this week?
Hi all, my 172 ph2 is due its timing belt and dephaser change.
Does anybody offer a mobile service for the replacement.
I have a heated garage with eletric
@Fudge & @Simon_16v
They are bi-xenon projectors I bought from eBay. They have 8000k bulbs which are a little too blue for me, they will be changed.
I don't have any output shots atm, I can grab some later.
Do you have projector or reflective housings? The reason I ask is that the bulbs differ.
Projector bulbs- d2s
Reflector hosing- h7
If your have the projectors, all you'd need to buy is a green d2s bulb (if they are available- eBay is your friend).
If you have reflective housing, you'd need to...
You will not blank/fill that hole without knowing it's there. You could replace your roof skin.
I'm breaking a sport soon and will have a shell for sale, I'd cut the roof skin off for a price.
How's your mileage looking? [emoji23]
Mines on 159k, had the belts and water pumps done last year. Look after these engines and they look after you. Mine hasn't missed a beat [emoji4]
Good one [emoji23] I have to use wood as a ramp to get it in, getting bored of doing that. Fast! [emoji30]
There are tuning boxes on eBay atm for £36 delivered from Germany. Takes our upto 80/82 bhp. Worth a punt!
Other than that, I love the wheels!
Um the only one I have of mine atm is the below one I took to send to my mate. I'd lowered it on coilovers too much and couldn't get out of the garage! [emoji23]
And that isn't up to date anymore, I have fitted universal projectors into the housing.
Love this! Such a good replica.
With dark wheels I think it's important to keep the tyres looking black, they look rather grey in the pics. Some nice tyre dressing and them wheels will look lovely on the car .
I have a 68 1.5 dci sport replica. Love the car, such good engines.
Little bit of a revival but anyone planing on doing this should consider that when driving at night, you cannot use the O/S wing mirror. I have fitted a boost gague in the same place as the sat nav in this thread and it reflects in the window.
The central vents would be the best place to fit...
I should imagine the rem wire is remote wire for an amp.
If so, when you turn on the head unit this wire becomes live and tells the amp to turn on too.
Might have been a slight miss understanding here guys. I'm up for the karting meets but wanted to go to more of a clio orientated meet to get to know you guys more.
Also, I don't mean park up in McDonald's . Meet up, take pics have a good chat and go for drives sounds really good to me!
