The two Mondeo pressure reducers on mine work a little "too well" , it gets pretty scary at very high speeds when needing hard braking. It tends to brake a bit too hard on the rear wheels and make it very back-end happy ..
I was also thinking of mounting another (adjustable) biasvalve to go...
I use mine only for thrashing purposes, it sits in the shed most of the time until i "feel the need"
Thanks for your reply. Really just wondering about the power difference in the first 2 gears.. I almost have to "skip" first gear because i can't get any decent power on the wheels
I've stripped some weight off of the Cup, it weighs around 960kg with driver. (weighed it on a truck-weightstation)
It's modified to around 200bhp. I have found, with the Cup box, the short 1st gear almost always "useless". With all the wheelspin and knocking when hitting it just a tad bit...
I've noticed there are two warranty comments on their product: One is "lifetime warranty on craftsmanship and material" , the other on their Facebook page is: "1 year unlimited warranty + 4 years warranty upon material or manufacturing defect."
yeah shouldn't be a problem. I drove mine for a while , the leaking will get worse before it actually breaks. Make sure it's a genuine Renault waterpump because the aftermarket ones have inferior plastic moving parts instead of metal parts.
Watch your temp and waterlevel in the meanwhile !
may be your waterpump is shot.. mine was and had the same symptoms. Supposably they never break. Mine did. Was also leaking, and heard the "squeal" on startup. Waterpump luckily is run by the auxbelt iic, which is a far less big of a job
^^ you said it ! I dug up this old thread because i noticed a prob after changing to 75w90 ;
Last week I changed to a more expensive Motul Gear 300 75w90 (thinking hey this must be better!) , and just now after a proper thrashing with a lot of high revs the gear changing has suddenly become...
Question on these cam-bolts : Could oil be leaking from the exhaust cam retaining bolt ?
Oil seems to be coming from that one on my engine ...?
I'm thinking it must be coming from the seal and not from the bolt/thread itself ?
That's peculiar ! Mine has the 'resonating" sounds but no ticking. A short while ago mine was supposably done/renewed when i had my cams put in there and it has developed this resonating noise.
Your new one sounding the same as before is strange but we may share the same observation here , will...
White smoke.. water vapor . Seems like a head gasket indeed. Strange cause it's also rare for them to blow from experiences i've read on here for quite some years
it should only move like 2 cm or so (difference between all the way back + forth that is)
When you say "quite a bit" it sounds like you found a problem. When you say the dogbone is poly-d , then this one might be ruled out. The other one is visible from above when looking at it (left one) ...
check all your engine mounts , when one of these has gone it could cause the engine to tilt when letting of the throttle , + then causing vibration/resonations . However you should also notice when hitting the gas ..?
Sound mechanical to me too anyway
this is what i always thought to be the case. Still i always put a little toe in when doing the tracking as i like straight line stability when pushing hard. You achieve this by toe in. I'm going to keep it around neutral next time because i think the toe in is eating at my tyres pretty...
worthwhile , the oem ones are quite bad. Check if your lower one has "RS" welded on it. If it does then it's fine and won't need doing as these are good from factory.. You can check this by using one of this dentist-mirrors to be able to look past/under the fuel-rail section. The upper one can...
