It was worse, yellow spray filler under primer, which was under the red. The white primer you see, is from the second attempt they had made, it looked to me like basically they had rushed it, tried to do it quick, or maybe even used a form of accelerator in the clear which caused wrinkling.
<3....1JZ = win, but i thought it was a 2.5l?, its a more rev'y engine than the 2JZ in my understanding. Werent tempted with a MK4? (I have a supra mk4 as my second car, just BPU at the moment).
We can get you some if you want from our local supplier, would need details of your car etc if you matching to a car, as there might be different shades. Its a 2 stage paint, it requires a special base so you would need both yellows.
1 x Ground coat yellow.
1 x base coat yellow.
I wouldnt lacquer them now, unless your going to get it done profressionally, either way they will need to be keyed before lacquering else its going to flake off over time.
Send us those mirror caps, we've done a couple of sets on clio197, we can remove the texturing and match the cars colour (for LESS than £50 returned). KNQ i think it is.
As above really. if you DIY it, it will probably stand out like a sore thumb, its a bit of an art form blending. Mirror caps are one thing, but i wouldnt touch your arches without getting it done professionally, as its likely to look worse than before. You really need a very good atomisation...
Normally the standard wheels have a 2K top coat, possiblely under that power coat or your usual 2K / epoxy primers. If the black paint you have on the wheels is just a rattle can job and you really need to get it off (i.e its flaking or failing) then a lightish coating of nitromoors wont touch...
Just look inside drivers door and tell us the code....then we can tell you the friendly name which is used on here. (Most arent even the real name, as they are french).
