Don’t worry, sorted it. Thanks for all the reply’s... pricks [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I put the same question up on the FB page and got a load of unwanted advice about not bothering and go forged etc... not what I was asking!
Get back to your polishing and love island talk guys...
Hi guys, I’m after some info... fitting megane 225 OEM pistons to a Clio F4R block and wanting to retain VVT... I have been told I’d need to get some valve pockets machined into the crowns. Can anyone give me any drawings or info on this? Or recommend someone who can/has done them that I can...
Your vac pipe to the servo hasn’t melted above the manifold has it? They sometimes collapse inward when hot so not leaking just not supplying vacuum to the servo... have a look!?

No dead zone... maybe you have another issue? Calliper or something, sounds like you are having a bit of a nightmare!

No just a slight amount more free play when initially pressing the brake pedal, the pedal feel was spot on though.
It was made even better after I found the t piece trick when bleeding too. changing the cylinder is okay once you remove all the metal bulkhead and get in there... worst part is...
Yeah for sure, I read a bit about it before to and actually think it benefits Non ABS more to have a bigger cylinder, I’d already sourced a Clio 200 one so just slapped it on anyway after using the standard one for a while...
Make sure you use a t-piece on a bleeder so you can have both top...
Hi, I used a Clio 200 master cylinder on my 182 retaining the ABS with brembos.... it’s not essential you just get a slight amount of free play with the standard cylinder. You get used to it!

Switchable maps would be awesome, that’s what I’ll be doing when i forge mine! I’d hate to go mental power and loose the amazing 250/240 map I have now, it’s a fantastic balance without causing it to be unsettled and too much of a handful... saying that there are a lot of places on the uphill...
It’s funny to think those figures are low! Yes they are but still makes a Clio 182 f**king fast [emoji100]
Better luck next time mate, will be worth the wait Steve

Jokes aside, RSX did have a problem with the older LSD before a certain date, I expect you know though. Luckily mine was a later one so didn’t have to change the cup

I’ve got a Sachs performance clutch mate and I’m not a fan of the high bite point on 182 clios and it’s heavy as hell.. also just like tinkering!

Oh and @DV8 bought a mint 265 megane which has caused a considerable amount of perturbance [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] lucky b*****d

Not been on here for a while... car has gone to my mates body shop to give the stone chipped front end some love! These Clios seem to attract stone chips!
Ring/Spa trip all booked for August, staying at Pistenklause for the first time this year, I will miss our usual place up over the top of...
Hi mate, you may need to source a 172 n/s driveshaft too, my standard 182 one was too long causing a rumble/knock on right handers... northloop helped me out with that info. You probably have seen that on my build thread

Just before that pic @DV8 was complaining about the assault on his senses, windows open, wind blowing, stereo blaring, exhaust blowing then zzzzzzzzzzzz!!! [emoji42]
Little update,
Had a manic couple of months prior to this years Nürburgring trip, basically I was building my mates Mk2 Golf 20vt... decided it was going with us and had to be done in time. Managed to crack on and with a quick track day at castle Combe to test my work and we were happy to take...
Chris@efi has mentioned he gets nice results from 9:1 and they retain good drivability... 9.5:1 are good up to 300ish on pump fuel... pretty sure I can get both with one choice of piston by using a 1.3mm gasket for 9:1 I just need to get the wossner part number to order.. apparently there are a...
I’m aware of the sizes, std size and oversize... what I’m after is what piston would give me 9:1 in my 182 engine... I can get 9:1 Megane pistons but not sure what that would equate too in an f4r!
Hi guys, what wossner pistons are people using to achieve this compression ratio in an F4R?
I don’t want slappy competition ones either, I have seen there is an option!!
I can get wossner cheap through an engineering friend but currently we don’t know part numbers... can anyone help?
Cheers
