Ever since I bought the car, my wipers don't work on the intermittent setting. Only on 1 or 2 where they're as expected. Should it just be a case of a new stalk to resolve?
Yep. As of yet still unresolved but pushing the exhaust further under the car helped a bit as there's more clearance over the rear beam for the exhaust.
I've added foam sound proofing in the wheel well and under the rear seats.
Ordered the 3 parts from Renault. £8.50 inc vat but had to be ordered in. Mine were meant to arrive Saturday but the van broke down, so will be Monday.
Part numbers
- R54 61 414 05R- collar (£3.61)
- R77 03 002 918- m8x1 screw (£2.16)
- R77 03 034 235- ECROU FIH m8x125 (£1.31)
Simple enough to fit? Since my MOT I'm having non stop issues with her. Handbrake cable snapped when I tried to adjust, sticky calliper, broke the key and now this
For the past few days my handling has been a bit "off" and I thought it was maybe a broken spring or shock. But I jacked up the car and realised the outer ARB bracket is completely missing :rage: So, where can I get a replacement and what is it gonna cost me?
MOT day 2 days ago :weary: Was pretty nervous even though I'd checked her over with my bro. Passed but tester did say the handbrake was a little weak. So this morning I got underneath to tighten it up and think I messed something up as I've snapped a cable :astonished::poo: New one ordered so...
Which is map sensor? I caught one of my sensors and the plug came out just after painting my inlet manifold and it cut straight out. Was the one where the ht leads are routed
Think my aerial base needs replaced as radio signal isn't great compared to my lasses Mini.
So I wanted to try one from a scrap yard first. Removed the bolt under the headlining and it's loose but there's 2 attachments- 1 white wire with a clip but what do I do with the second wire? Does it pull...
Not at all mate. Clutch feels fine until the last few inches. Andy at ClioTurbo diagnosed engine mounts after driving it and agreed it's not the clutch or box directly but something else.
Sorry to bump this but I have similar symptoms but have judder when I release the clutch at the top inch or 2 of the pedal travel. Bites well, doesn't slip and had a local specialist look and he said try engine mounts. Will order these mounts but can I check them visually or any method to...
To add to this, it was still there today but didn't seem as bad. Seems worse when the car is cold or turning with alot of lock on. Just vibrates after and above the biting point as the clutch is released fully. Slipping the clutch to move forward slowly it's 100% fine. I did remember today...
Afternoon people
This first part may be irrelevant or may not so I'll mention it anyway.
2 nights ago I had an intermittant "STOP" and handbrake light coming up. Brakes seemed spot on still. Had a quick look and brake fluid seemed a bit low so I topped it up. Couldn't see a fill line (could be...
Sorry to bump but thought it easier than starting a new post. Got Uniroyal Rain Sport 3s on and wondering what pressure I should be running. They're on 37 on the front and 34 on the rear but I thought 30psi would be about right?
Any chance of pics underneath mate? On my 172 cup it drones at around 3000 to 4000rpm which is annoying at motorway speeds. Under that and it's acceptable but I know the tip is visible
As this is my week off, I wanted to do something about the engine cover as it's seen better days.
But the missus started cleaning and polishing her car, so I decided to do the same first.
After a wash, dry and hoover I used Poorboys Nattys paste wax (nice bubblegum smell)
And finally...
Dan I originally was going to go with Greenlight in all honesty but they didn't call me as they were meant to, to take payment so I contacted them and they seemed determined not to have my business, even refusing to requote me due to it being 21 days after I get their original quote because they...
Couldn't find this thread so been a while since the last update.
Hum is defo a low tread tyre so happy with that until the tyre is replaced. Average mpg since purchase is 33.3mpg so pretty happy with that.
So, I had a fuel tank seal issue, sorted the high lvel brake light, had belts and dephaser...
Without the engine running, my n/s inner tie rod felt like it had play but with the engine running, it wasn't noticeable. My pal who is an MOT tester found nothing that would fail the car. Everything seemed solid. Mine seems intermittent now but on occasion turning right there is a single loud...
I believe so yeah. Says so on his website. Drives pretty quick as it is so I'll just be happy to get rid of the noise. Also asked if he can look at my drivers front end as it feels like it pulls itself around too much but has no steering play. And when I accelerated hard today steering right on...
Got the car booked in with Andy @ Clioturbo tomorrow for belts and dephaser done. Obviously it'll cure the awful clattering and save pals wondering if it's a diesel I have :rage: but what else should I notice when they're done? More power? Better mpg? Smoother idle and drive?
Just for reference- I've 100% sorted this now. Rotary Switch works fine, no airbag light on and horn was due to a bad connection with the wiring into the actual horns in the arch. Pulled the white wire tight and horn worked so I've adjusted it's position and job done.
