Yes, although I've got a power magic pro, so it actually runs all the time (aka Parking Mode) off the battery (cuts off if the battery voltage drops too low).
Hi Guys,
I know a few people on here are running mobius dashcams. The EMI from the Mobius is notorious for interfering with DAB aerials mounted on the windscreen. Anyone managed to run DAB and mobius together? And where did you mount the aerial?
Haha yup, everyday! Only Southsea to Hilsea though for work, plus frequent drives in the country roads around here.
Fatty Kit fitted (with the larger RamAir filter). Initial thoughts:
Love the sound!!! Makes it a lot deeper and more meaningful. Only really kicks in above 3000rpm with a decent...
Well here's my first... and a costly one too!
A wet and very slippery Donington with Traction Control off. Got the line wrong through Craner Curves and lifted off. Big mistake!!!
Apart from being full of gravel, the car seemed find afterwards. Cleared it out and took it for a drive...
Planning on putting my kit in this weekend. Any thoughts on how far you need to drive after you've installed it for the ECU to fully adapt? (read about this earlier in the thread).
I only ask because I'm thinking of doing a RR day soon.
Honestly, for road use I don't see the need to come away from standard Brembo Hcs and pads. The only time I'd consider changing is for trackdays to prevent fade.
They're also a fraction of the cost of something like Ds2500s. Much beer moneys...
(I run Ds2500s)

I got one of these with my phone contract a few years back, expected it to be cheap and crappy. Turned out it was pretty awesome for the size.
EDIT: not sure about battery life - don't think i've ever remembered to fully charge it.

Might be useful to check related fuses mate. If you haven't got a multimeter, try swapping ones of similar ratings over, see if you lose/gain circuits.
Actually, mine seems to have a noticeable amount more torque at lower revs with the Ph1 engine in. Engine note is noticeably deeper.
Nothing wrong with a car with a bit of history! It looks lovely!
Long shot for a 'rattling noise' but...How close to your exhaust trim is your exhaust?
I had a problem with my janspeed moving a lot vertically under lift off and catching the trim. Re aligned with a cable tied bolt in the mount. Never had the problem again.
How did you stick the mobius to the windscreen? I tried to install it there but it kept slipping off. Instead I mounted it to the back of the rearview mirror (similarly discreet).
Other advantage of the discreet approach is that it makes a nice trackday cam without having to over-faff with mounts.
I upgraded to Ds2500s recently.
Honestly for fast road use I see nothing wrong with OEM. The only noticeable difference on the road between the two is the first few brake applications from the Ds2500 where they're a bit ropey.
The improvement over OEM comes with track use. I feel like it...
I went down the replacement engine route. Cost me £300 plus labour to fit. Delivered from Norwich To Portsmouth. Where are you based that you can't get one delivered?
(Though I can't comment atm on the success of the engine finding as it's still being fitted.)
Ps cambelt etc. is a lot cheaper...
I second Wheel Alignment Centre down near IKEA in Southampton.
£20 for tracking. £40 for camber adjustment. £25 for eibach camber bolts, so I bought my own.
In fact I'm booked in at half 3 on Friday.
Mainly availability. Particularly of a decent mileage. Ph1s are supposedly meant to be a bit quicker too. It will have the 182 manifold etc from my current engine so no discernable difference. I think the main problem was the deception with the one above - "low mileage" when you have no idea of...
Hi Guys,
So after a cambelt related incident, I'm replacing the engine in my 182 with a 172 Ph1 engine. (Mike @ Rentech is doing the work). The car (118k mileage) is used as my daily (10k/year) but also 6/7 track days so I'm looking at anything worthwhile replacing to improve the car whilst the...
