Nikon 10.5mm, not cheap unfortunately. The effect is purely down to the angle and shot you're aiming for, stick the horizon bang in the middle and it's not even immediately obvious you used one...

They can be overused so it's hard to justify...
I'm guessing you mean a fisheye? If so you need a dedicated lens, this was taken with my nose pretty much pressed up against the telescope thing, the field of view is insane, it's a challenge just to make sure your feet aren't in the photo.

Any idea what happened around 11ish? Track closed for ages over near Bobbies and from a very long way away it looked like the Black Ph1 was involved somehow?
Annoyingly I spent 10:00-10:30 in the paddock, so no shots of your car on track. Pretty quiet day though, I was extremely bored and...
Nothing special, but I bought an Olympus PEN today and had a good play around to see how it performed. Super impressed, has some nice built in filters (used one for this shot) and the depth of field even with the kit lens supplied is brilliant. Will get some proper pics over the next few weeks.
A 1.4 is on the list, I had one with my old Nikon 80-200 and it made literally no difference to AF speed, very impressive.
I would love Hospitality/Media access at Silverstone if only to get a few top down shots of pit action, pretty much the only time I've really wanted to get behind the...
Personally I would say if you have any DSLR made in the past 5/6/7 years then for the average 'amatuer' it's about 5% of what makes a good photo. Newer or higher spec DSLRs only really come into their own above older bodies for specialist areas of photography, demanding clients or really extreme...
It's not a nice place to visit, I'm sticking to Castle Combe!
Could not believe how loud the GT1 cars are, never thought I would say this about a race car but they almost seemed pointlessly loud considering they were not that much quicker than the GT3s.
Forgot to mention the Lambo Aventador in the paddock...wow. Wasn't fussed from the pics but in the metal it's stunning, the attention to detail is incredible.
I was heading back from Silverstone, just pulled onto the A419 from the A420 at 4pm today (just outside Swindon near the M4) and a couple of Renaultsports shot past on the other side (Yellow Megane, Monaco 172 with White wheels...that's all I remember)
Anyone from here?
'Vast' just about sums Silverstone up. It seemed big before, but the new infield section and the frankly enormous Wing have made it all seem bigger still. Double decker buses now take you around, as it's all a bit odd (there is no bridge near the new Pit Straight for a start), endless dead ends...
Trailblazer = Amazing
Loving the Pikes Peak cars, especially when you get them on the tarmac. Sensation of speed is fantastic, one of them (Rhys Millen I think) looks like you're piloting a Tie Fighter when in cockpit view.
Not too many local garages I trust, main dealer is only two minutes down the road. Would like to go to a specialist (Rentech or Carlton) and have a full service whilst I'm at it but that would require a day off (which I don't have till July)
Been driving my Ph1 172 for a few weeks now, drove to Bath on some nice twisty roads last night and cornering right at anything above 40mph is 'a bit scary', to put it mildly. When cornering left it's as solid and stable as I would expect and there are no issues in a straight line, but turning...
At first I wondered how this possibly reviewed higher than DiRT 2, but after a few more hours it's coming together nicely.
Still don't think the pad controls are subtle enough for Gymkhana stuff though, I'm winning races and rallies no problem but barely scraping through the Gymkhana stuff...I...
Got mine for £27 from Sainsburys Entertainment, shipped yesterday so hopefully it will arrive today.
Reviews and early opinions have been fantastic, I loved DiRT 2 so can see me getting a lot of play out of this.
Just leaving my house today about 3:30pm and passed a White 197 that was heading towards Paxcroft Mead / Hilperton from Stoney Gutter crossroads. Pretty sure I've seen it before around this area before.
Gorgeous, imo standard is best with Ph1s, that looks stunning.
Considering how few were sold in the UK and how many have presumably been written off / perished we have quite a few Pearl Ph1s on CS.
Re: iPad "Must Have" Apps
Do any of the Facebook apps allow you to upload photos to an existing album? I've tried two and oddly they only let you post directly to your wall.
Genius! It's the only forum I have that problem with, oddly.
Played them to death on my iPhone, awesome games, would love an 'HD' version with new levels. My favourite iPad specific titles are iBomber Defence, Tower Madness and Starfall. Those few alone have probably eaten up more gaming time...
