Mine is a universal Toyosport jobby, by all acounts not the best quality or cooling ability. But i gave them a google, and apart from fitment issues (not an issue for me as its universal and not car specific), they aparently keep the charge temps down quite well.
The intercooler i have is...
Missing pieces to the puzzle turned up today!
GEN90 and JR Filter ER-7002.
DOnt know whether to try and make some air filter heatshield out of nimbus, or if ill be wasting my time?
Countdown to mapping begins :)
You can, but the whole point of the super duper arp thread lube is to get accurate preload on the first torque (which from what they say does very well).
I did mine to 45 ft lb just to be safe on my rather not so expensive torque wrench, and they have been fine for a couple of track days :)
Mine produced a large pool of fluid right under the gearbox end cap, had to change out the high pressure pipe. I was annoyed because when i removed the "broken" pipe is was still in one piece, must have been a hair line crack. The next day i was exmaining it further and it literally broke in...
lol at the conterversial pipe, Tuutur i didnt like the chrome ;) I wrapped it but it should be somewhat purposeful, people do wrap the intercooler outlet ("cold pipe") to keep the charge temps as low as possible, every degree helps...

2871R is going to be your best bet on a log manifold. T.Trophy managed 371bhp with that setup.
Custom manifold is always going to be better, but if your working to space constraints you'll be limited to a T2 style flange.
438's dont give either of those problems, the idle is smoother than stock cams, and it has plenty of grunt low down.
First thing i noticed when going back to stock cams was that the idle was lumpier, madness!
