Zmaster if you buy an RS2 i will never speak to you again.
Why would Ktec want to buy rights to it? Im pretty sure they would only be interested in products that actually produce decent gains!
I jest of course ;) Looking good slap some paint on that rocket cover though dammit!
I think theres a fine balance to meet when doing it and staying with stock size pistons. How you know how many strokes to do? Also that is a very kind offer to lend the flexhone i did have a look online, and like you say they arent exactly cheap for a tool your only (hopefully) going to use...
I agree with that! I've had 2 F4R's rehoned, both time by the same company and i think they were a little liberal both times. There is audible pistons slap when cold when you load up the engine at low revs (pulling away in 1st), to be fair you average person wouldnt even hear it, but it happened...
LOL
Just go back to work, agree with him tell him you've spoken to some experts and they have explained the 225 crank pulley has more teeth on it, so the cams are geared faster to make more power, see what he says...
Bumping this thread so save makeing another (aw arent i good). I need someone who can laser cut me a bit of thin stainless. I want to make a very simple style engine cover that is literally almost rectangular with a bend in (can provide drawings, send you a cardboard template e.t.c.) So if...
Use this, its the grandfather of engine lubes >> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Graphogen-Performance-Engine-Assembly-Compound-/140809164061?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20c8e1551d
No point, you will hurt the mapping resolution which may adversly affect low throttle useage and ideling. Of course this is dependant on the type of injector and how modern it is (there are large modern day injectors that have very good short duration characteristics). You would be able to...
How people say these are a viable choice to proper cams? Are people actually looking at the graph, you'd get to work quicker in the morning if you had a s**t before you left compared to having a set of those cams fitted! I'd bat an eye lid to these if they made 160ft'lb + as any cammed clio should.
I was about to say something, it wasnt worth £900 of my money really, no. But mine was a bit of a strange case, and i wouldnt awnt anyone NOT to buy them based on what i have said.
Certainly with 438's + Ktec Induction kit you'll be giggling like a school kid for months.
Surely a compression test would NOT highlight any issues with an exhaust valve that wouldnt open? (providing its not bent). What im saying is, it wouldnt prove if you were running 15 valves instead of 16.
Need to put a boost gauge inside the car, without drilling the bulkhead/firewall does anyone know any convinient placed to put a small boost pipe through? THe best i can think off is through the acclerator pedal grommet (which isnt used on the ph2 RS), but do i have any other options?
Thanks
subframe drop would be a lot less stressful imo. Infact i hurts my head to take th egearbox out the top of the RS, all the wiring, cooalnt and PAS lines in the way
You can have the subframe off and away from the car in about 45 minutes, no brainer IMO.
