LOL!
Congratualtions on a company called "Mr Clutch" whose business is built on replacing clutches properly, for....... replacing a clutch properly.
However they certainly arent a "Mr Cambelt".
i ran my engine in on 10w-40 mineal oil. 100 miles, changed oil for more mineral, ran for another 500. Then swtiched to a fully synthetic.
Make sure you load the rings well (this is key), but no excessive revs as friction levels will be high.
My 225 pistons don't have a coated skirt like the one in your picture Tutuur :(
As above a skimmed F4R piston should technically be able to produce the same power as a F4RT piston providing the same compression ratio and the reduced crown height hasnt affected the strentgh of the piston.
Everyone will tell you to use Genuine renault tools only (all 3 tools must be used).
I however used eBay cheapo horshoe tool, people say they bend, but theres no reason they should if they are used properly.
I feel a little bit more reassured due to the chap on here with the red R26 converted clio 197 running 270bhp with... 333ft lb's! Im sure hes on a stock engine (at least i hope he is).
I think its luck of the draw from the view of cast piston quality variations, and the person who's mapping it.
Thats what im doing, i've been told they can take 1.3Bar / 300bhp, so ideal for me. Although i guess running that power arseholes will be clenched everytime you hit boost incase the pistons explode into a million pieces :D
Re: Clutch fitting..alignment tool doesn't fit in flywheel +do you need to lock it of
Haha its a pain in the arse, the amount of times i've stood there shaking the gearbox shouting "get on there you fucker!!" then it just won't go on and you know you have to do it all again :(
Pretty standard mine does this too, the fan in the temp sensor is worn, i pulled mine apart sprayed with WD40 and it shut it up for a few months but its back. Going to try some form of light grease this time round i think.
You can unplug it but you won't be able to change the temperature on the...

1/2" Extension bar with a heap of tape wrapped around it is what i used. Bit hit and miss but better than nothing.
I only say that as its very loud, not really a typical noise you would hear for any other sort of mechanical failure, but could certinaly be the the noise of rushing air through a spark plug hole as the cylinder trys to compress.
Regards to driving it somewhere, persoanlly if it can lug itself...
The shim behind the bearing is missing, the hub nut isn't being torqued to the correct tighteness, the bearings are chinese s**t. Your car has 20" wheels with mad camber y0 on the rear.
It will be one the four ;)
My fog light bulb on the dash dials lights up everytime i touch the brake pedal does my nut in, but ive yet to investigate why it actaully does it. a crappy earth no doubt.
Many hours mate. Had to drop the subframe a couple of times to sort niggles, downpipe hitting steering rack heatsheild e.t.c its only the little bits that can take a good deal of time to sort really.
Fitting intercooler took me the best part of a day lol, lots of trial and error with silicon...
I bought the GEN90 this morning.
The car is 99% done, it looks quite good in the engine bay now if i do say so myself :) Unfortunately the ECU wiped out my funds and i cant afford to have it mapped until payday at the end of september.
Just waiting for the JR filter too. How dare the factory...
Do you need to be houdini to do this? Will be fitting a GEN90 shortly, and remember having a go at this randomly when my engine was out once, is there an easy method without damaging or bending anything?
Theres a video on Youtube of a RS Clio on ITB's with what appears to be stock ecu AND using the FBW to actuate throttle angle, just needs some bracketary and modification to the throttle spindle (is it even designed to work against the force of throttle plate spring?). Have a look on youtube...
