I've got to do that to my filler cap area on my Flamer too. Checked behind the interior rear panels to see what state my sills are in which i was dreading doing, very clean which was a relief!
Ok got both looms and motors working but there's a but, I can't get the cog on one to face the correct direction. It's about 90 degrees off and even plugging it in and adjusting controls I can't get it where it needs to be
Yet another bit of sorting issues!
I have repaired the damaged cog on the forward (nearer bulkhead) aircon stepper motor but the motor won't turn when going through all the aircon settings. The rear one (nearer gearstick) works fine and I've switched motors to confirm both work so I wonder if...
I've been upside down with my head in my footwell today trying to sort my hot only climate control.
I've discovered to classic split stepper motor cog which I've now cable tied together but can't get the cog and it's other half in the heater matrix to line up, the are at about 180 degrees out...
My cup brake light isn't working, I've dissassembled it and all looks ok with continuity on all leds, resistors but not on the plug terminals. I know nothing about electrics but surely there should be? With these now unavailable I'm not prepared to write it off just yet.
Any ideas?
Anyone ever got a clio bonnet delivered? I'm looking at a flamer red one pretty much the other end of the country which makes collecting it unfeasable.
I thought I had an injector fault when my 172 was running rough, turned out it was a dodgy connection on the precat lambda plug. Just a thought as they are prone to getting damp where they are.
Fitted the missing front bumper splash guard/support thingy, bumper sits better now. While up in the air I put washers on the gearbox end of my polybushed dogbone, again a missing item!
Just need to get the brake light working on my cup spoiler.
Fitted my second-hand powerflex dogbone and have realised it should have had two large washers on the gearbox mount end, thankfully I've only done 5 miles. What size and thickness should they be?
I'm actually not sure, it does work by the switch though. I'll check tomorrow but what would that mean if it's working when unlocking? Dodgy door switches seems unlikely for both sides to go
I commented on this on Facebook, looks very tidy! Doesn't look like there's anything wrong with the paintwork in those pics. I've replaced the shocks on my new Flamer with cup shocks and Grams springs with new rainsport 3s - quite a difference! I'm in need of a bonnet and a bit of pdr even then...
