i would but the yozzasport exhaust doesnt sit that high, think its to stop reverberation in the car. May get it cut and moved further into the bumper eventually
^ whites more common now i reckon ;)
Also just fitted some phoenix gold front comp speakers, to go with my momo polk rears. Knew i'd forget something lol
Thought id join the bandwagon and post up a project thread of my car so far....
This is how i got her over a year and a half ago now, paid 4600 for her on just over 50k.
The wheels were utterly shagged so the first mod i did was to have the wheels fully refurbed in dark pewter.
I...
Insurance qould prob be a couple of grand in all honesty, do a search on here theres loads of people who have done it, prob a lot less than a twigngo conversion though
looks like a nice car, dont know whether id bother with a twingo engine conversion though, if your going down the conversion route, get a 1.6, or 172 engine coversion, cheap as chips and has been done a million times. Remember a twingo GT only runs about 100bhp (not much more than a 1.4 16v)...
you MUST use primer or it'll all flake off, using laquer depends on whether its a two stage colour, or a flat colour which doesnt need laquer. you need to rub down after primer should be ok after that
not really a DIY job. if you angle grind the lip away and then paint the back to stop it corroding you risk weakening the section. so best bet is to go somewhere proper like R tec where they roll the arch and keep all the metal present.
i would probably tend towards using 2500 and then 3000, or just plain 3000 if your going to be using scratch x as it really isn't brilliant at removing wet sanding marks imo.
the cat back section of the exhaust cant move much as it needs to be attached at fixed points along the car. if its a yoz system then some of them tend to stick out a bit too far - i know mine does at the min. so i doubt the 182 manifold has made any difference
you can buy sparco subframes aftermarket for a perfect fit, which will also enable you to have sliding bases etc. but it depends what type of seat you've bought. i.e reclining or side mounted.
i think this is the same as what i bought for mine. its not a perfect fit but you can certainly make it fit through thinning the edges and bending it to shape.
go to halfords and buy a universal exhaust mount for about £2. this is a rectangular shape and will fit into the original metal housing if you cut the top two spokes of the 'X' out, and the centre circle. this is a stronger rubber and you can hook the exhaust through this mount and leave it...
auto-paint.co.uk made some up for me after working from the original water based formulation. has made me quite a few tins in cellulose and its a perfect match.
the reason they say it wont fit is because, as standard, the ph1 airbox sits at an angle going to the throttle body. so in order for the samco to fit it needs to be cut on a slight angle - as such theres a risk of fooking it up, which is why they dont advertise it as fitting. but with a bit of...
