Well, having had a 182 for 3-4 months now, I decided that I wanted a bit of a project to do on the side. I therefore ended up buying this:
It has a few issues, the engine is knocking so needs the shells replacing. Which ment I got it for a bargain price. Interior is pretty shabby...
Its an interesting question:
I made a reasonable saving over buying a straight car, and when picking up parts for it I bought other bits I didn't need and sold them for more than I paid which kept costs down.
As to what it cost over all, well its not yet finished as its not painted and that...
Cheers
Yea I never new until I got this they were a different colour to the standard clios... on a sunny day the gold is just awesome. Just need to get my bonnnet and bumper matching in colour!
Cheers
Ok so it has been a while since I bought my car so I thought it was about time I did a thread about it. Some of you may remember it as I posted some pictures up when I had only just got it. Done about 1500 miles now.
Oh and I wasn't sure where to put this as I'm not sure if its really a...
Same, I spoke to him a few months ago about it. I avioded too.
Obviously you went to see it and assessed the car properly... can't really go wrong at £800 if it was nearer I would have gone for a look myself. Let us know how you get on with the issues it has.
Can I ask where this information has come from or is it just word of mouth? As I have had a number of Cat D and C cars in the past. My sister has one also, she happened to crash it earlier this year and she was paid out in full for the car. As a result I would have to disagree with you on that one!
Is that your car? If so have you had it for sale for a while now? I'm sure its one I emailed about a while back when I was looking for one? Its not had the cambelt done yet has it?
(Please note I may be completely wrong, and this may not be the car I'm talking about!)
At the end of the day if its repaired well then you will have no more chance of issues than with a non written off car.
A car that isn't on the register could have been in an accident that would have made it a CAT B but the owner was only 3rd party and sold it on.
That car has been...
its a reasonably good price even for a CAT C depends on how good the repair is though. Although if its anything like the advert, its probably a load of s**t!
At the likes of £2000 it would be a proper bargain (track **** maybe)
Woop, I was here, with my mate in his E39 535
Was great fun until the heavens opened! The guy with the clio was a brave man, 6 weeks old and he had it on track!
I was tempted to take the 182 on track but I wasn't sure if it would be ready in time so didn't book.
Alot of people being careful...
Shouldn't see a difference, or feel one in driving really. Your talking a very small change. Few mm overall.
As you can see here on the tyres you are proposing its a 10mm difference. thats just about within tolerances.
Edited as non of that came out as i had hoped... basically its 270mm...
http://tyres2u.co.uk/page.php/tyre_prices in case you dont know whats what.
The tyre profile will change the rolling radius of the tyre. Ideally you should keep it as close to standard as possible i.e. if you put bigger wheels on your car reduce the profile to keep the rolling radius the...
These are what you need.

What's that ment to mean? You have obviously been here a while... Doing a great job of making new people feel welcome man!
Anyway to the OP if your anywhere near Manchester I know a very good body shop thats reasonable price wise, PM if interested and I'll give you his details.
Yeah i'm just a standard CAD user... I'm in civils (Water and Utilites) don't have a massive need for mechanical stuff at the moment. Just decided to download inventor though to see what its like... I would like to do more 3D stuff though. I've done a bit with Civil 3D.
If you get it for anywhere near that its a complete bargain! I paid 2000 for mine and it was Cat D... still need to put some pics up of it now i've sort of finished it come to think of it
no.. looks s**t! When the older bro had it it was std with just 16inch white OZ's and looked pretty decent. The zorst is far too loud on it as well sounds like a cheery bomb
