By that I assume you mean the grey thingy thats to prevent the door opening too far... he is probably right too. If its a very loud noise i'd say it was this.
Yeah well they aren't for sale anywhere else, my Dad doesn't do it anymore and they are still in the car. He may even sell the car with them if you don't have one. He wants something bigger and an Auto I think. PM me if interested and I shall speak to him.
I have fitted a set before took...
My dad used to be one... his was less than £300 (Clio 1.5 DCI) Manchester postcode, 50ish year old.
Any one with his permission even when not listed on the insurance could drive the car without him in it. (I think that changed recently though and they had to named.)
Obviously insured for him...
When I saw that picture I knew I had seen it before, took me a while to figure out where...

Can't you just ask him what turbo it is? Looks a bit like a Clio DCI Turbo,
<Sarcasm...
Try going to a Renault dealer, they should have a number of clios on the forecourt that all should have locking wheel nuts on.
You will find they only make 4-5 different types of Nut and Ket for each make/model of car. If they are feeling nice they may let you try a couple just to get the nuts...
haha, he's only round the corner from me too, I live in Sale!
What a complete load of sh1t though
Also have you seen how many he has sold over the last 6 months... 200 at £145 a pop.
I make that not to far shy of £30,000 hmmm if people really are that retarded I wonder how much he pays...
I have started stripping the car down, slow progress at the moment as I am busy at work but getting there slowly.
Bought some new wheels off another cliosport member complete with R888’s
Bought some Cobra Monaco bucket seats and some 6 point willans harnesses are on the way.
4 of the...
I spotted these the other day on eBay, look good and cheap... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/15-RENAULT-CLIO-TEAM-DYNAMICS-TORNADO-12-SPOKE-ALLOYS-/280615047256?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item4155f5d058

I recently bought a 172 that I am making into a track car; I am buying some new track wheels for it tomorrow and therefore I will be selling the 16inch Cup Turini’s that are on the car at the moment.
However I am unsure of what price to ask, and whether or not to refurbish them first. Along...

Nothing to do with me but seems very cheap, I know its got high milage but still!!!
How can you own one with out buying one? :S
or are we talking in the hyperthical situation that someone was giving them out for free? I'm sure most things worth anywhere near £5000 you would happily own if they were being given out free?
Yeah the differences with private and trade sellers could be key to that.
On another random note; Swift cover won't cover a previously written off car... for me this is a bit silly, they will happily write off a car and say its Cat C/D and can go back on the road but then won't insure it...
Firstly I just wanted to clarify incase you felt I was, that I was not out for an argument or having ago at you in anyway. I was simply wanted to put my opinion forward as well as what I have seen happen first hand.
You do have some good points that I take on board and my sisters case may...
All good and well but many people crash cars and don't claim on their insurance so you have this same risk buying any car second hand! I'll remind you of the trophy lad.. that car could in theory have been put back on the road and had no record of ever being in a crash.
If they car is cheap...
hmmm.... I have just bought a 172 thats going to be a track car, I can't see me needing one of these.
Is it easy to take it off? If so I'll sell you the one off mine! PM me if interested.
ETA, all the 3 companies are sister companies but offer different prices some times. I got the best quote from Bell, but as I was already with Admiral rang up and they matched it. Otherwise just do the comparisons and try everyone not much more you can do!
In answer to the question in bold:
Just because a road has the national speed limit does not mean you can travel at 60mph down it. It is a guide and that only. Roads are sign posted as national speed limit as on some parts of it you can go up to 60MPH but on many bends etc. you can not! It...
If i'm being honest, you should never find the limits of the car on the public road! Its never the time or the place on a public road, you never know whats coming around the next corner.
I'm only 22 but I learnt early that showing off was a bad thing in a car, and luckily it didn't cost me...
To be honest from what you said the damage is, they are likely to write it off. This is due to them pricing it using brand new parts. Just get it fixed yourself you will find it alot cheaper than you think. I'm guessing your excess will be a fair bit in itself.
Headlights are the same as the...
Bet the extensions are keeping you busy then. I'm doing the CAD for the track drainage systems.
Yea my dads done alot of engine work years ago so he's going to be the advisor on what to do and I'm going to be doing the work.
Who do you work for? I work for Jacobs and we are doing alot of the design work for the Metrolink extensions.
And yeah body work wise its pretty good, interior is disgusting but doesn't matter as its coming out and the engine needs work but like I say I'm going to try and tackle that myself...
