The valver is all but gone, but the cups will be left. I can either sell them, or invest yet more monies into some serious spacers and get them on the 172.
I had a play in photoshop - dropped the ride height to reflect what i want out of the coilies that are on their way and banged the cups...
Look pretty boring to me.
seems like they are just putting one of 4 alloys on expensive cars. Not that imaginative.
some Kahn stuff is horrible but they put the effort in and come up with new body design/interior options which is at least commendable.
Have a bit of a soft spot for Aston's on...
Personally think it looks god awful from the front. Theres far too much going on, lines all over the place that dont need to be there.
New megane is absolutely amazing though, the lines work so much better than the 200. Really properly want one.
I wasnt expecting to gain power.
RS Tuner data analysis actually shows remarkably low inlet temps, despite what all the uninformed bedroom mechanics out there say about it sucking hot air off the radiator.
After hard driving when the car was well up to temp, the inlet temps remained fixed at...
currently running matched inlets, a catback longlife system and a RStuner group n map for whoever it was that asked.
After a decat is purchased in the distant future i'll go for a custom map to make sure everything is fueled properly.
I have the exact same problem, got mine from josh hatton. However I took a photo of the box before binning it and can confirm i was sent AR 530 S blades, which should technically be the right ones. One the back however they do say they are designed for RHD cars, whereas the clios have LHD spec...
Having had the simota for a few weeks i finally got round to getting some videos.
This first one is SERIOUSLY loud. Be warned. I decided to put the microphone actually in the engine bay right next to the simota. This is the result.
And a couple of more normal in car videos including a...
Bought some of the bosch flat wipers from josh hatton off here a wee while back.
After a bit of a wait they turned up, and being an unfortunate halfords employee i do my fair share of wiper fits, so straight away i couldnt see how they would go on the right way round.
Just like standard blades...
Well i've finished colour coding the car, having done the side strips and handles myself. Really pleased with the outcome.
I got hold of some ph2 side strips a while back and repainted them from iceburg to titanium.
Was bored a few days back though so painted up my old ph1 strips i had taken...
most probably the simota you could hear, its ruddy loud!
and yeh parking is a nightmare, you have to just stalk the area and steal someones space as soon as they leave.
My housemate is looking for a 172 and came across this little number. He thinks the wheels look fantastic - in his words just like those on an SLR or Lambo Reventon.
I've told him they look piss poor.
Also worth noting is the 'bold' exhaust choice, ph1 lights on a ph2 and the seamless...
you'll probably have to jack it up a bit to get to the innermost two.
The 2 bolts nearest the doors are underneath dust caps just behind the sills so can be accessed easily when the car is on the floor.
The inner 2 are located next to the exhaust however so unless you have mahoosive arms and...
yeh i used 1200 as it shows in the bottom left.
Probably a bit high but about right for a ph1 with me and a full tank in it, also had the spare wheel out at the time.
Yes i have looked at the pictures, they are the first thing in the thread.
As i have already said, the rubber bush's which are taken out are roughly 12mm thick. I dont quite know where you've got 5cm from.
Going to have a punt at this later.
Got back in the valver yesterday to move it around the drive and it was like being sat on the floor.
Makes you realise how laughably high the seats are in the RS'
Just to clarify, your only taking out the 4 plastic washers that the seats are seated on, and...
Thats right mate.
3rd gear, from about 2k rpm, then floor it and keep your foot in until the limiter.
Here are my results from an average of 3 runs, with before and after the map shown on the graph.
Spec is:
ph1 172
matched inlets
simota carbon aeroform
longlife cat-back
running the Group N map.
