the 134 that the rs tuner has given is at the wheels, the manufacturer power figures are nearly always given at the fly, which doesnt account for the transmission loss you get in all cars, hence the lower at the wheels figure.
as you rightly say, 166 is much closer to actual stock atf power as...
Yeh in the mobo manual i was following the correct slot configuration, it states side by side as a pair in either slot 1&2 or 3&4, which is how i was running and there was no post.
Definately a gammy stick i think, going to try get it sorted today.
Running a x64 OS btw.
Looks like it was bad memory all along guys.
Tried the alternate slot solution and nothing.
Swapped the single stick over with the one that was not in use, using the same slot each time and it was failing to boot as before. Swapped the original stick back again and it booted fine.
Guess this...
im going to try both suggestions in a second.
I'm confident that placing it in the next but one slot will work but then i dont think they will be working in dual channel mode. Anyway i'll give that a go.
I'll also see if swapping the sticks throws up that one is bad.
stolen from the motherboard spec sheet:
Memory: 4 240-pin DIMM Sockets for unbuffered Dual DDR2 1066 SDRAM up to 16 GB
does the dual bit not mean that it can handle double channel memory?
BREAKTHROUGH
was going through the proces of just gradually unplugging everything to try tracae back the problem.
Got to the memory point of things and pulled out one of the memory sticks and it booted straight away. BIOS beep and then a post screen so thats fantastic.
where was i going...
Cheers for the responses guys, just got back in from work so im going to continue the fight with the pc in a second.
I'm almost certain my motherboard has onboard gfx.
Memory is fresh out the packet so i doubt that. The fact there are no bios beeps at all on start up is strange though.
I'm...
Started building my new system today. nothing fancy, just family use, but i've run into a brick wall.
Installed everything onto the motherboard, made all the connections, turn the key, everything fires up but theres nothing coming up on the screen. Not even BIOS. I've tried with another HDD...
Titanium can be had from Halfords either as a touch up pen or an aerosol. You just need to ask for it at the parts desk and it will be custom made up.
As fudge says its a base colour so requires NO mixing, therefore it is impossible to get an incorrect colour match.
If it doesnt look right on...
i thought at first this is what i would have to do.
easy solution though - just wind the spring height platforms down so the whole lot sinks down further and you can bolt everything togeather very easily.
LOL at all the H&R et al. fanboys climbing out the woodwork wheeling out the quality clichés without ever fitting or trying a set of these. They are very cheap coilovers yes, but that doesnt mean they were nailed togeather in a jungle clearing.
They are a relatively new design for vmaxx so...
no fair play guys i'm well aware its probably going to be a hopeless effort.
I'll have a proper look at my service history and see where that leaves me.
Cheers anyway
slags.
not sure if it is a full renault service history.
All the history and docs are back at home rather than uni so i might nip back tomorrow and see if its all renault.
When i bought the car i remember seeing lots of renault paperwork for services but i think some of the more recent ones...
The drivers side arch on my ph1 172 has a wee bit of rust bubbling up behind the paint. Its only noticable up close and never really bothered me.
My housemate now wants a ph1 172 as well though, and when looking through ads for him i noticed one of the standard features listed was a 12 years...
mine made an average of 114Kw over three runs with a cat-back, matched inlets, simota and group n map. Works out at about 152bhp at the wheels.
so 136 isnt a million miles off.
As mentioned, if it feels better that's all that matters.
Lunar grey one isnt quite right as couldnt find a decent source pic, and the wheels arent spot on on the alien one for the same reason but gives you an idea:
