@Camsmyth
Thanks for the info!

Im considering this, so just a line from the mono into the valve then the same again to the rears, with the bolt hole it will be easier to secure also...
I have ordered a 23.8 4 port mc now for abs delete, just need some clarification on fittings
This is all the gear. Im using 90 degree swivels for the top mc port holes to make things a bit more tidy and 2 for the rear calipers. Normal swivels for Y adapters and bottom port holes
This is...
I think the doctor gave me the wrong steroids because ive just gone out to my car and ripped the whole abs unit out with my bare hands and beaten it to a pulp like a gorilla. Needless to say Im just gonna get a 4 port 197mc and full braided lines setup now, something Ive had in mind anyway. This...
Bled 2 litres through just now with pressure bleeder and with engine on. Maybe 10% firmer when engine off. When on if i brake slowly it's smooth, faster it's notchy. Abs and esp lights are now on. I take it there's air in abs pump, but if i keep pressure bleeding with engine on will it help? It...
Have swapped it over and bled the system, I bench bled the mc before hand. Theres no pressure when engine on now, but when i brake theres like this small surging clunking feeling going on. Cars up on stands and the brakes do stop, but zero pressure and the clunking
I guess theres just loads of...
Id go for some uprated pads, youl have more fun and they arnt too costly

@bloke
It does. I think i have answered my own question as the adapter does flush via the slightly wider tapered end rather than in the bottom of the mc. Was just not apparent it was!
You know after looking again I think there is, just really minute. Ive been delaying fitting this for ages now, first if never arrived then ordered from another comp, then bought the adapter and blanking bolts (for bleed) each week something new instead of just getting it done straight away...
@Camsmyth
Thanks mate. male end is not tapered, though female end is
Now I can do the adapter up pretty tight though and it wont budge, but Im just paranoid that it will either come loose or bugger up the inside of the mc if done up to much
I dont like to do these things on the car...
Stupid question but Im just not sure. I have a 197 mc and an m12 male to m10 female brass adapter for the conversion, is there suppose to be a gap and it becomes flushed/tight within the bottom of the mc bolt hole?
@Louis'
I gave them as much as a clean as I could. Funny that this lumpy buisness wasnt happening when I went to get the stuff, this was yesterday and didnt happen at all the whole day, happened at the start of today but the light went off shortly after and the revs are more stable, its real...
Thanks guys, i was particularly after just the built in swivel type socket, they seem to be uncommon
I just got this:

I could of done with a 13mm the other day as I was putting on rear spacers and couldnt get to the m8, I had to take off the damper and snapped the god damn bolt in the rear beam. The m8 was so corroded and a reg spanner just wasnt up for it...
I think you would change your opinion on the brembos being overkill if you were to try them out with some ds1.11. That much power is extremely inspiring and safe. Putting 500bhp in a clio is overkill sure but having consistent stopping is far from it. Although in saying that the power is...
Revs are now lumpy at idle and unstable at held higher revs, just started getting a flashing engine light on the bottom left of the gauge as well. I read that this could be caused by oxygen sensors/sparks/coil pack. I had not long ago put new ngk platinums in but i checked them all today and 2nd...
Well I just bed the pads in and they are unreal, they are too powerful for the suspension, the car was nearly doing an endo a couple of times. Very good feel, 100% worth the money
Though their seemed to be a bias to the right side and was pulling that way a bit, that will need to be looked at...
Im no expert, have only done the 182 once. But I used a mixture of g clamps, saws, greases and swearing and it eventually came out. I think people have used heat aswell and vices, youd probably have a better time doing it like that
It never came, was 'dispatched' last friday on the estimated day that it should of been delivered. Messaged them today and they just gave a full refund and didnt say anything back. If anyone could let me know of anyone breaking a 197 would be appreciated!
This seems quite promising. I was scrolling through and found this one.

Just need to make sure I feel confident on swapping them...
@Dr Jekyll
How were those calipers performance? I was almost thinking about buying some ap racing ones from ebay, they were for a ford escort but they were for 300mm ish discs and looked like they just needed a custom bracket, similar size to brembos etc..
Im going to look into the mc as on...
Right so just got back from having a test after pressure bleeding while the engine was running. They are firmer no doubt and work better now, but as bloke said, they will have some pedal travel at first which Ive never read before, after all the research I did before hand I seemed to have missed...
@bloke
Thanks for letting me know. Yeah thats why I was confused as I definitely didnt let it go dry, I was expecting pedal stiffness as it was with the stock calipers. I have given it a few pumps and it will go stiffer but will go back to soft shortly after. Its better now that I gave it a...
