My overboost protection kicks in at 4.5K anyway, can't be used at the moment. Thats why I need to go back down, it freezes the RPM at 3,000 and I can't do anything until I key off and key on again.
No need to really. They become s**t over 5K anyway really pointless to keep running it over. 4.5-5K should be your change. I get 55MPG on a run after the map and 40MPG before. My Extra Urban driving MPG is 40MPG too. Drinks when its ragged though.
Running sweet so far. Needs to go back down though due to MAF targets being too low. Free fix of course. Lovely pull and you can definitely feel the turbo cutting in fast. Unfortunately due to it being the size of a wheel nut it can't give out any more torque and it just drops off as the engine...
Not when its on finance ;) Not interested in paying £95 a month for a blown car. The current turbo is the size of a wheel nut mate and the torque drop off I get is unbelievable. Will put a project up when the car has done 50k miles and I've paid the thing off haha.
Phaha unless its a Honda then it will catch fire. We all know when you hit VTEC your car is invincible. Should have bought a Honda for revving in the car park.
I've got a Mark 3 TCE and that's modified to its maximum without a bigger OEM turbo etc (Was already turbo when I picked it up as Renault released TCE versions to deal with the s**t pull the standard 1.2 16v's had). With that engine you will never be able to put a large turbo on it or you'll...
Might just be that, sometimes I mess up going from 1st to 2nd and I get a jolt, other times its like butter. I suppose its down to inexperience to be honest.
No no, as usual when I change gears it obviously drops revs as I'm doing it and I usually rev match it to the next shift, but that shift above was like lightning compared to my car. But yes what you said is correct but I just rev match it instead rather than jolt the car with the clutch.
No, I usually lose 2k extra RPM on top of the gears during a shift and thats going as fast as possible. I can't get it anywhere near the same speed of that shift.
Can you stop being so rude in your replies?
Oh wow... Talk about not contributing anything good to the thread.
Yeah its cheaper to buy a 172 mate and put an exhaust system on it to look like a 182 without the spare tyre
Thanks mate.
Anyway, LongLife are pretty good around the Swansea area. Not sure elsewhere though. They are a franchise so it can be different quality anywhere.
Hi,
I am extremely interested to know how this person achieved 60 in such a short space of time. I know it's slight wheel spin but the shifting is amazing.

Surely that cannot just be the driver?
You are clearly accusing me of slander here. What I said will not ruin any companies reputation, do you want me to spread it out nice and easy for you again? I really don't mind.
I dislike how you have deleted an edited post by the way. Pretty low. :)
Ok. Let me spread it nice and easy for you because you don't seem to understand.
We all have our preferences, clearly this forum absolutely hates KTEC; apparently so because of their shitty warranties etc.
So, Danlp mentioned that KTEC was shyte, and that a user should go to RSTuning
I...
Naturally, a company with a higher customer rate will have a higher fault rate. You are only human. Yes, quality can be improved but its difficult for an extremely expanding business.
What I said is not by law; Slander. But rather I justified myself by mentioning that the information I proposed...
Did nobody mention thats RSTuning blew a Clio 200 and took it apart and gave it back to the owner in pieces? Or was that another company up north? I am not sure. This is purely hearsay and I've got nothing to back it up however.
