Although I've not put too many on there, everything I've sorted so far is here...

Haven't looked into the price of the Fisheye yet and things are all over the place with the price...
Like the "underpowered" 182 Trophy (which walked over everything in its price range) or, in fact, the vast majority of the Renaultsport range, which has always been more about chassis/handling than out and out power? The biggest issue with the 197 from the reviews appeared to be weight, the...
That's true enough, it can give you a general idea of your photos that people clearly like/appreciate. My "Most Interesting" photos are generally the better of the ones I've taken, so it does kind of work.
Saying that, I've won fairly major competitions with photos that have never had a single...
That's epic. I'm hoping they were home-made rather than purchased from a real life business.
Yesterday I followed a Golf+ (the family one) with an R32 badge on the back...awesome.
Never even look at if a user is a pro or not to be honest, it doesn't make any difference (imo), there are some exceptional photographers who are non-pro and just constantly update their photostream with their top 200 photos. Sometimes they are more interesting to look at than people like me who...
Are we (generally, not anyone specific) confusing the different stats?
Photos & Videos (each time an actual image page is viewed)
Photostream (each time somebody visits your actual Flickr page)
So you could have thousands of individual photo views without it having any effect on your...
That's one of the best ideas imo, as well as tagging the pics with camera/lens/location/subject.
I'm forever looking through the lens groups or searching for things like "New York Sigma 20mm" etc.
Whilst on the subject of Flickr it's also worth checking the licences etc you've granted for the use of your work as it's pretty complex and very confusing.
Frustratingly it's an all or nothing approach with being able to download full-res files, you can let people see everything including the...
Yep it gradually seems to build, especially as you meet people / gain new contacts etc.
Photostream is 26,424, Sets is 10,026 (Photos is nearly 200,000), although I joined in October 2006. I think the Sets statistic is probably the most interesting (if you use sets) as I think that shows how...
No I'm happy with my set up now, don't feel the need for anything else (which is going to do my bank balance the world of good!), probably put it towards another trip somewhere so I can take more pics.
With the price rises I doubt it would buy me much now anyway!
Go for it, it's available at full-res on my Smugmug. Detail of the Empire State Building etc is a little lacking at full-res as it's a heck of a long way away at 10.5mm!
We're getting it done as well, might also have the square Statue of Liberty shot framed for the study as it's a bit different.
Cheers guys, pleased they are liked as much as enjoyed taking them.
Had a few comments elsewhere about the lack of people...it really was that quite and to be honest we've never experienced 'busy New York' as we've always been in the winter. All the guide books talk about 2-3 hour queues for...
No not really, the other half has a video camera so she was doing all the video. Would have liked to have played around with it, but didn't really have the time, and I went support-less anyway (no tripod or anything) so it would have been awkward.
Nikon 10.5mm 2.8 Fisheye, Sigma 20mm 1.8 and...
Cheers bud, was pretty pleased with them myself considering that 90% of the time I was absolutely exhausted (we walked EVERYWHERE, it's the best way but it's so so tiring). Now going to save our butts off and try and go back for a couple of days over Christmas, at this rate it would be cheaper...
and finally the incredible (and thankfully successful) Air/Sea Rescue...
Lots lots more here and I'm not anywhere near finished working through all of them properly yet...

...and I thought this was worth a look, amazed at the detail...
Last week was holiday #4 to New York for me and the other half, can't get enough of the place! Had a cracking time, probably our best trip yet; the weather was incredible (didn't see a cloud for 3 days), the City threw up its usual surprises (that the locals don't give a second glance). Amongst...
Not generally, I've tried it with a delay before and actually been less smooth - oddly. With practice pressing the shutter shouldn't bring in enough vertical movement to mess the shot up. Whatever is more comfortable for you though, not really a wrong or right way with these things.
1/15 is...
Definitely something on the sensor, the good news is it looks pretty big so probably a hair rather than dust...which should make it much easier to get rid of.
I've only got as far as Monday, so I've still got another 4 days worth to go through. Definitely an improvement over my last trip in terms of quality so that is pleasing.
Haven't got many number ones iirc, just a couple of street signs :)
Had to comment on the speed boat ones, lovely effect on those. What shutter speed did you use?
Also really really like the blurry swan shot, can't get my head around it though.
Genius, that's dedication.
I've got about 11 days worth to edit and upload...I highly recommend never getting behind in that respect, it's a nightmare!
