Good start with it, I'm sure it will take some getting used to but looks like a fun thing to play around with.
I think the simpler photos work best, the last one with the boat is brilliant, just has the right 'feel' to it, where as some of the others seem a little forced.
Absolutely brilliant, the exposures are bang on as well.
Would love to do this but my editing skills are nowhere near good enough (and I'm not patient!)
Just catching up looking at all these, great to see it still going and lots od excellent shots.
Revels - outstanding, would never have been able to be so creative for so long.
That's incredible, where is all the orange haze in the sky?! Hugely impressed, #2 edges it for me, more interesting composition imo.
Even in the most remote places I can find I still get orange skies from the street lights.
I have a plan, I do a split screen image on Saturday, one in the morning when I'm leaving Wiltshire, and the other when we go for a wander around the big city when we arrive. As they are both within Saturday (technically) it should make a nice contrast. That will be the aim anyhow, maybe I can...
Logistical question:
I'm travelling across 5 time zones on Saturday, what would you do with regards to time for a 365? For example I arrive at my destination at 9pm Saturday, but it's already well into Sunday morning by then here.
I'm thinking as I've 'gone back in time' then it remains...
If I remember correctly, the KERS 'boost' is artificially limited to 80bhp at the moment. I assume it would have no effect flat out either, as there is a rev limit in place.
I think a lot of people are expecting a real obvious 'boost' where the car surges forward for a couple of seconds, but in...
Will be interesting to see what complaints there are with regards to the various ideas/components used on the cars, iirc all are technically within the regulations, but there have been some very interesting ways of 'bending' them...like increasing the area of the diffuser by incorporating...
I'm still going! Been easy lately due to the interesting weather, and the closure of my workplace. Day 33 got in the county newspaper, which was cool as I only took it for the 365 project, it's paying off!
February 4th...
February 7th:
Pleasantly surprised that so many of us are still...
We have two winners to say congrats to, Josh2005 way back before Christmas during the normal rounds, and BluePete for his 'Photo of the Year' effort. That means we also have two themes, so either can be interpreted or as luck would have it, they could also be combined with a bit of creativity...
The main road through our town, a horrible slushy mess still covered in snow. This will remain untreated tonight as Wiltshire are all but out of salt, and temperatures are going to be around -5 tonight. Hmmmm, won't be going out in the car tomorrow morning!
Epic 24hrs for us, started last night at 10:30pm, saw the snow falling so decided to make the most of it before work today...
Off we go...
Fresh untouched snow, couldn't see a thing...
Decided to 'leave our mark' so started creating snowmen and various snow monuments all around the...
Cool, have to give this a miss but will definitely pop up later in the year.
You probably already know, but remember that the lens will only accept a 1.4 Sigma TC, giving you a nice 140-420mm f5.6 (which is plenty for any circuit)
Love my grip, as I use my Sigma 120-300 (monster) quite a lot it does balance the camera slightly better and make it easier to hold.
Not sure on the Canon, but my Nikon works with one battery. Pretty clever too, the D90 menu tells you the status of each battery in the grip down to a single...
I've just got in, first proper snow I can remember here in about 15 years so we thought we would make the most of it, been outside for 4 hours!
Anyhow, always wanted to get a snow-falling shot, as I didn't get back from work till after dark it wasn't easy, but I think I nailed it...
I'm feeling pretty good now as well, apart from a macro lens which can wait anyway, I fortunately bought everything I wanted by the end of 2008. No way I could justify some of the new prices.
Maybe I'm well out of touch, but I got mocked a while back for wearing Bench as well, what's the big deal? 90% of my clothes is Bench, the most comfortable clothes I've found!
